I'd say the Sens were far more disappointing in 2018. Went from one goal away from the Stanley Cup Finals to bottom of the league.

That Sens run was verrryyyy lucky though the following year expectations weren't that high (+3300 cup odds and 91.5 O/U), meanwhile the Oilers walked in with arguably the best player in the world and a fun young core after safely making the playoffs

Yeah they're my two teams, and it was an awful year all around, but the Sens edge out the Oilers on the disappointment scale. Management also massively overrated the group after the 2017 run and made some dumb win-now moves that just added fuel to the fire.

What's funny about that Calgary season right after the trade and signing Kadri is I remember seeing everyone thinking they would win the Pacific again and I was so confused by that. I figured they would still be top 3 in the division but man they fell off hard.

I was at the flames game we lost to Nashville, we needed one more point to get in, Nashville was already eliminated and we lost…

You should review one NHL season per week like go over 2017-18 for example and some of the best moments, award winners and statistics

16-17 bolts was pretty disappointing but the injuries were horrible

94pts wasnt terrible for what they had to do with. Stammer put for most of the season. An inexperienced vasy taking on the starter role b4 he was rlly ready.

Will never forgive stupid Doug Wilson for leaving that 2020 first rounder in the Karlsson trade unprotected, having that in the back of my mind all season while they were imploding was horrible.

Sharks downfall started when they chose to let Pavelski go and over pay Karlsson and yet media that year said Sharks were still a top 3 team in division. I knew the media was going to be wrong on that

If niskanen didn’t retire after the 2019/20 season and Ellis stayed fit, the flyers probably could’ve competed. The way it went from then on was gutting.

Honestly the flames in 23 were overhyped i alr knew they were going to miss the playoffs after going over that much turnaround

2022 people were picking our islanders to win the cup and we missed the playoffs

Capitals fell off in 2018-19. they were coming off the cup and lost in 7 to the canes in round 1

Habs were way more disappointing than the knights in 2022. They should've still at least made the playoffs with the roster they had but they made 1st overall instead.

I get what you are saying. As far has just smashing fan expectations and destroying their moral, it's hard to beat 2022/23 Bruins. I'm not a Burins fan and I was even rooting for them.... bastards.
