These snakes don’t want to do anything to with you. These snakes all just want to get away from you since they see you as a predator. Venom takes a lot of time to produce, so they don’t want to give any venom to anyone other than their preys . They’ll only give it to you if you provoke them enough to envenomate you. You just need to stay calm and back away. They’ll leave you alone if you let them get away from you. A cobra will hood up as a warning to back away

As long as you respect these snakes, they won’t bite you. Venom is a precious vital saliva that these snakes produce and it takes time and energy. They don’t want to give them to you. All they want is to get away from you because they think you’re a predator. A cobra will hood up as a second warning. If you provoke these snakes enough, they’ll envenomate you which will not be satisfying and you may die from it

The horns look like the serve as ears to resonate vibrations in the sand in ambush mode. A good adaptation for a hot desert day hunter or perhaps they used this to hunt a specific prey. I wonder if it would react to sound vibrations. Egyptians would of really found that interesting.
