The Most Confusing Player in Esports

Ойындар

There was once a time when people thought that Huke would become the best player in the world. He was going toe-to-toe with the OpTic dynasty at just 15 years of age. But since then, there have been many ups and downs in his career. He’s tasted glory across two different esports, including the Call of Duty World Championship. But he has also come under heavy scrutiny multiple times, for both in game and out of game reasons.
With a potential as high as Huke’s, he arguably should have cemented himself as one of the all time greats already. So where did it go wrong? This is the story of Huke.

I remember Huke in the AW days, such an unknown variable back then watching him compete in bracket play and then the multiple matches against OG it was stunning (no pun intended). To then watch Huke make the switch to Halo then transition back into CoD shortly afterwards and deal with what he had to, was a revelation for competitors back then! Hope the best for him, he’ll be alright but it’d be great to see him have consistent success in the CDL!

Nah you're insane for even suggesting that, #2 & #3 were supposed to watch back in case of swimmers and people going far south, they had no idea anyone was coming because Huke was supposed to watch that whereas Kizmet knew 1-2 players were on point because they were scoring, it's like having and advanced uav on them and they were both lined up next to each other, bad luck, Kizmet singlehandedly had a massive advantage on them. Even if Huke had gotten no damage off it would have been fine because they would have known and slayed Kizmet, that was all on Huke, he not only let Kiz go completely uncontested but also in secret and that's literally the only reason they lost, they were trusting Huke to call out anyone going to them and he absolutely failed them, that loss was all on him.

His form on Optic is proof of this; when he's on, he's one of the best (he looked like the best in the game in certain stretches), but at his worst, he was the worst on that roster. To give him a bit of a break, the looming threat of having to be amazing or we're replacing you with Pred probably did not help down the stretch of last season.

How much of that was just a psychological advantage though? Spartan was doing work in SnD with the atomaton. It did make a big difference however he only used it in certain maps and modes. FaZe seemed to be flustered.

@@AMPStorm Didn't seem like much of a psychological advantage tbh once the volk was GA'd LAG couldn't win a series until they brought Gunless back.

@@tobecontinued436 hum. I don't quite understand your point. Imagine you show up to a tournament and every player in every scrim is using the same 2 guns and now your playing for your tournament life against a new guy with a new gun. Not only is it a in game advantage but it can be enough to make certain players tilt and headcase.

@@AMPStorm The only advantage was that Spart was the only person that used the Volk before major 2 when he brought it out and the Volk is the only reason LAG won that tournament IDC if he didn't use the Volk for every map and mode because it's clear as day that without the Volk LAG were never going to win anything. LAG were winless after major 2 until they brought back Gunless. Spart was nothing without the Volk in his hands after major 2. A psychological advantage would be like OpTic choke slamming FaZe every series and so FaZe is already in their heads before every series vs OpTic thinking they can't beat OpTic.

Hukes best games were jetpack CODS. Sucks he didnt get to compete much in those ones. after MW3 drops this year, the next COD will be jetpack and HUKE will have one of his best seasons yet!!!

There’s no doubt in my mind, that if the age restriction never happened, and he went on to BO3. The story would’ve ended completely different. The kids a monster.

Huke is still good. He was considered one of the best subs mid season and I feel like he can turn up at anytime . Though he wasn’t consistent towards the end I feel like he offers a lot for teams looking for serious veteran sub
