I don't usually like celeb signatures on comics but it makes sense on photo variants and books that are basically movie previews. No shot I'm dropping $950 on ANYONE'S signature though

I’ve seen celebrity signatures on characters first appearances, and I always thought that was a little weird. I personally would just do photo cover books. That photo cover Captain America book was epic!

Celebrity signatures on Photo covers are amazing. some of the prices they charge for those signatures are ridiculous lol

That Master of Kung Fu signed by Jim Starlin made my brain do a quick math problem. Problem is, unfortunately, the math doesn't work. Lol. Another great lot of books. I found that Captain America photo cover going through my cabinets and was really surprised at the value. Take care.

Pretty cool! How tough is it to price the celebrity SS books when there aren’t that many?

The signatures are quite interesting and they are cool. The question is can a book still get a 10 or 9.9. By virtue of the fact that someone is “writing on the book“ is it considered perfect because it is not the way it was originally created? The reality is a signature does change the book and in my opinion should never be able to get a perfect grade.

It's a pet peeve of mine when people have celebrities sign comic books that they had no part in. Now a photo variant cover I can get behind a celebrity signature since its a photo of themselves. Or if the celebrity actually participated in the creation of the book i.e. Keanu Reeves with Brzrkr where he actually was a cocreator and co writer.

Out of curiosity, do you feel similarly about Stan Lee signing a Marvel book that he had no part in? (Not trying to start an argument; genuine question)

@@jeffstanley6013 Of course not Stan was the Man and he was so integral to Marvel throughout its history that it's not that far a stretch to say that he had an impact on all books that Marvel put out even if he didn't work on it directly. In retirement he kept on acting as an ambassador for Marvel up until the end of his life. So any Stan Lee signature on any Marvel book makes it an instant grail.
