I also waited patiently for months since the watch was announced, and managed to snap one up from a great Italian AD for a good discount off list price! The wait however was excruciating! I also ordered the white FKM from 7Friendsandwatches tonight as the black rubber, although serviceable, lets the package down in my opinion for a limited release watch. I'll probably add a bracelet a bit down the road, but for now, I can't wait to see it on the white FKM! Great review as always sir!

You inspired me to buy this. I got it with the a steel bracelet, too. I had just ordered the original blue dial and then an hour later saw this. Canceled that order, got all money back, and bought this instead. Last one on eBay at the cheapest price ($370). Coming in a couple weeks. What a magnificent dial! Love the white across the second marks too. Definitely found a gem!

I’ve been looking at this watch for a bit…seeing it on the white strap sold me…still convinced you could make any Watch look great with your camera work…

Bought this one after buying a Promaster with gray dial on a bracelet. Fell in love with this dial and had to have it, too. No regrets

Fantastic video and review, thank you! I've honestly never thought much of these Promaster divers in the past, but that dial is beautiful I must admit. Paired with the white rubber, or a turquoise, that would be a fantastic summer watch with some real presence!

I think the original orange minute hand is one of the best features. It is still a very attractive and affordable watch but I wish it still keeps the orange minute hand. I like this watch but I am ok with the original blue version BN0151.

If I didn't already have a solid quartz diver in the larger size, this would be a nice one to get. That dial! Thanks for sharing.

I have the army green Fugu I bough for $190 and its a watch worth for that price. The Unite with blue model was $475 retail but after discounts I managed to find it for $350 which is still a lot for this model so I passed on it. For similar price, you will find a Seiko 38mm solar prospex models which comes with better finishing, decent bracelet and sapphire crystal. Unless you are after this particular dial, dont waste your money on this model. Just get the standard promaster colors which you can find for under $200 and spend the change on a good strap.

The minute i saw your video i ran to buy one lol It is rare that watch company's make iridescent dials. I know that Seiko used to make some back in the 70's. This is my first Citizen watch and i don't think i will ever get tired of that dial.

Recently bought a well used Citizen H500 Chronograph for $60. Just started collecting and love my Casio’s. The Duro and MRW-200H are my favorites. But I just ordered this over a SEIKO 5 Automatic. It’s so beautiful and I like Quartz and Eco-Drives. Maybe a SEIKO 5 next year.

Wow, that’s a gorgeous watch! Reminds me of the Oris Aquis “Clean Ocean”, but this may actually look better.

My dream watch

great video and I am sold. I bought one in Vancouver last weekend and it really is a striking piece. However after getting home and handling it a bit more I realized that the bezel insert (not the bezel ring itself) rattles a bit when tapping it with my finger nail. I called the store where I bought it from and asked them to tap on a few other pro master dive inserts and they said that they seemed solid and did not rattle. I went to the only jewelry store in my small town and they did have some Citizens with a bezel, not like mine, and I tapped a few of those and did hear some rattling so not sure if it is a thing to worry about or not. Any feed back if and one else has/had this issue?

The as1060-54m, from the same unite with blue line as this one, at the same price, has a sapphire crystal for some reason. It's a dress watch, so I reckon it needs the sapphire less than this one but hey I'm not complaining.

I got this model by 240€ in Spain just the week it was released. I took it with me during a weekend in a beach of Andalusia and felt gorgeous, practical and certified for sea acticities, what else? Thanks for the video!

Very pretty and cool piece. I didn't know it exist, just checked my local store's site and they say coming soon for $322. I was thinking about eco drive for some time and this nice version look worth for me additional $60 compared to standard black.

Heavenly gorgeous !!!

Saw the video and i fell in love. Luckily i found a store that had it at 268 euro, and 2 days later was in my hand. I don't generally go for quartz watches, but this dial is so lovely, i can't wait to go to the beach, and take a swim with it.

BTW, the rubber strap is solid tool watch focused, and is solidly built, but i also tried it on a white cream nato, and works like a dream. It's sad this version doesn't come on a metal bracelet though. The Promaster has one of the best ones in this price range.

@@knutjunker2019 had the chance to take it diving. So far, it's the best performing diver i've used. And as much as i love my mechanical divers, you're right, this is so convenient with the Eco-Drive.

Citizen is really making such interesting choices at the moment. That dial is so cool to look at.

gonna get this for christmas, looks awesome and gonna switch it day by day with my prx tiffany on the white strap :) (or maybe put both on since i have two arms :D )

Wow,, I recently got the black dial version,, I so wish I'd hung on a bit, to get this lovely version,, absolutely stunning,, 👍 ps, the strap is awful, I wear mine on an Isofrane strap, which cost nearly as much as the watch, 🤣,, but it's the perfect beater watch now, imho,, All the best my friend,, 😊

Haha! I didn't liked it at the begginig either. I feel the isofrane straps a bit too thick and most of the time uncomforbable. I prefer more like tropic style straps. But it depends on the style of the watch :) Cheers!

Picked up a mechanical promaster for a little under 200 euros, the miyota does consistently between +4 to +8 per day, much more consistant and accurate than the 6r movement that cost over 1000 euros. Something that really makes me question if Seiko will ever make a mechanical watch that will appeal to me again, as I do care about accuracy, and its not just jewlery to me.

Says 8204-R014927 on the back, can't find name where ordered it. I think they updated the movement without changing the code of the watch from what I remember, still says 8203 on the dial, even if it has the updated movement, got mine last summer in Germany, so what movement you get depends on how old the stock is. @@rodolfotumbacoj.4937

About 400 dollars total including that rubber strap is allot of money for a watch without a smoother mechanical movement.Nevertheless a work of art when it comes to that dial which is justifiable for that reason alone imo.I also love the black n Gold citizen Promaster as well as their fully lumed titanium model.

Agree, the dial somehow justifies the price, a bit :D

The dial and hands are spectacular and I would ha like the bezel color a muted dark turqoise or blue so it wouldn’t draw attention on itself. Just my opinion.

Yes. The bezel is distracting and mismatched. It should be all blue. Received the watch, the bezel insert colors may be a dealbreaker for me.

It would be helpful for you to put a link in the description for the watches you review just in case we may want to buy one.

Very nice..the thing with Citizen is the untapped potential they have in the mechanical sector at the $400-800 with their 9 series movements , if they can put a dial like like this on a $300 ish quartz imagine what they could do if their designs & proportions in general were a bit more appealing ? their quality/qc isn't a question & its there for the taking as far as Seiko are concerned imo.

For sure, the brand has a lot of potential and tons of awsome watches to reissue from their past. I am a fan :D because Seiko lost me.

Should have a sweeping second hand at this price.

Great dial. But I am not fond of the bicolor bezel insert. The green looks mismatched. If the bezel was all blue I would like it better. I just received it and I am on the fence.

Pretty cool. The dials a bit much for me. I have the basic gray and I got it with the steel band. The band is killer on this model

Really attractive watch, but the premium for the dial is a bit steep.

I wish this came in the 37mm, my wife loves this colorway, but dislikes all the other 37mm offerings.

Your content is unique to KZread, it would big a big lose if you ever decide otherwise. Nevertheless, great watch!
