The Most Beautiful Scenic Road in the West Virginia Mountains!

Ойын-сауық

The Highland Scenic Highway is the most beautiful scenic road in the state of West Virginia! Winding through the West Virginia Mountains, this scenic drive offers some of the most epic views in the region!
The beauty about the Highland Scenic Highway is that your not rushed to drive straight through. Your drawn to stop at its many overlooks and check out the trail systems. This filming was done in Pocahontas County and it's no wonder this place is called "Natures Mountain Playground". It's one of my favorite places to be!

Looks like a beautiful place. I've been making quite a few trips out to west Virginia recently but somehow didn't know about this highway! It's definitely on my list now, you captured it excellently! Love that cloud inversion too. I caught a beautiful inversion while camping at Nathaniel Mountain on June 24th, they're always so stunning to see.

It’s amazing! Those clouds are on time every morning for that effect there. It’s beautiful to see. Thank you for the props 🤘. It’s definitely a place to check out. It’s one of my most favorite places to be in WV. I just feel at peace there. It’s a stretch of road about 25 miles or so and it’s not heavily trafficked and is just amazing. If you get a chance you’ll enjoy it

Been up there dozens of times last 2 times was in April of 16 and 17 when we did the Richwood Ramp Festival both times couldn't see 5 ft in front of you, so much fog it was dangerous my old lady was terrified. Used to go up there back in the day take the cooler lawn chairs beach towels and lay out. Nice clean bathrooms when the weather is nice that place is one of the best tickets in the eastern US. Make the left at the Cranberry Glades Visitors Center and keep going up. Great video, I have to get back up there next summer. Weather is everything up there. Weather nice you never want to leave. Thanks for this video👍

That's a good one. I was driving a big rig through Terra Alta West Virginia couple years ago I got hung trying to make a turn up a hill. State trooper came by and asked me why I was trying to get up that way for anyway. I told him that's the way the GPS told me to go. He poked his finger in my chest called me a stupid flatlander. He said don't you know people in this area don't even have a telephone let alone a GPS. He said I'm going to give you 30 minutes get that rig off that Hill. So the with the aid of some locals I was able to back it down all right. I don't want to go back to West Virginia ever.

Holy crap man! Yeah there are some crazy roads here and there for sure. There’s one close to where I’m at that gps sends truckers into all the time. That state trooper just sounds like a real piece of work. You got to deliver the goods man. That’s what keeps the country going. Sorry he spoiled your experience. At least the locals gave you a hand in getting going. I’ve had my hand in helping many of truckers in my area.
