The Most Beautiful Mountain in the Sierra? - Camping on the Summit of East Vidette

A summer climb up East Vidette, one of the most striking, beautiful mountains in the Sierra. After summiting, we set up camp on a small platform at the summit and experienced a clear sunset and sunrise from 12,350ft.
The footage from this video was from two different trips, one in 2020 and one in 2015. All drone footage was shot in 2015.

    What a fantastic tribute to this mountain! Absolutely jaw-dropping views. And the drone footage really elevated this to the next level. Great work!

    Wow!! Amazing sceneries, Stephen. I LOVE eastern sierra especially Kearsage pass. Your editing skill and song selections are exceptional, as always. Truly enjoying your channel.😍👍

    yeah, the title alone had me// we have hiked over Kearsarge twice to see East Vidette after seeing it in videos/ your opening scene there around 30seconds is possibly my favorite view in the Sierras. not sure i'd want to climb it Wow that looks rough, well done. Assuming the drone was still legal in 2015 from your note there, and that far away not like anyone could be bothered by it/ pretty cool shots...

    Hi Yongsung! First time I summited East Vidette, a friend and I came up for sunset but couldn’t find any good camp spot, so we had to commit to a sketchy descent in the dark. On this trip, I went with a different friend and just committed to making due with whatever we found. It wasn’t a very comfortable night’s sleep, but it made for a good memory. It was great to hear from you!

    @@-Stephen- I can imagine how you felt the night at the summit. I stay a night at Alta peak summit in winter. It was crazy windy and snow kept blowing into my tent. I couldn't sleep at all but it's still one of the best memories for me. Thanks for the awesome video and keeping me inspired.
