Baden-Baden is a spa town in Germany, in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Until 1931, the city was called Baden, but since there were several cities with this name in the German lands, people often said with clarification: “Baden in Baden” (Baden region), and so the new double name Baden-Baden arose. Baden-Baden is known for its hot springs, which were still used by the ancient Romans. The former Roman bathhouse has been preserved in the city.
