Hi Jerry and Linda, Al‘s wife Holly here. I have been up in the plane many times obviously but what a difference it makes with your GoPro camera! I will never look at my in-flight photos and videos in the same light again! 😂The views of The Villages and the surrounding areas are amazingly beautiful! Great GREAT video!! The Developer is spending over 500,000,000 (half a billion dollars) to build out the new charter school with early learning, elementary and high school. The Developer did NOT take any federal, state or county money. They are investing their own money to ensure they can attract the very best to work here- to make our retirement years the healthiest and happiest!!! I LOVE THE DEVELOPER ❤❤❤❤. THE DEVELOPER made not only all our dreams come true but even more than we dreamed possible!!! The new support “family” community is planned for 8700 homes!!! A lot of good people are needed to give us a great life!!!

@@barbaraebner5889 to buy a home in one of the support/family areas is only for people that are employed by a Villages business or owns a business on Villages property - real estate agents, nurses, doctors, teachers, housekeepers, construction workers, Publix grocery store employees- their kids are eligible to attend The Villages Charter schools for free.

@@barbaraebner5889 as far as the regular 55+ part of The Villages- many many people work- many thousands are actually employed by The Villages - over 700 Villagers work for the Park and Rec division alone. Many Villagers own businesses in The Villages. It’s the best place in the World. I would have loved to live here when I was 22- sooooo much to do and explore and live music, dancing, partying all the time at dozens and dozens of venues and resident’s homes and block parties!!!

It's just a backdoor way to open the Villages up to just about anyone of any age that wants to buy there. Twenty years from now the Villages will be just like every other community and there will nothing special or unique to it.

Sadly I couldn’t understand what the pilot was saying. Nobody else commented on it so maybe it’s just me. You came through loud and clear. It was so kind of you and your friends to do this for us. Very enjoyable.

Al is hilarious. “I just got my license yesterday and Jerry is the only one that’ll fly with me”. Too funny. Glad to be binge watching your show and catching up on all the cool things you do.

What a good day to go flying! Wow the amount of waterways is amazing when seen from the air! Thank you to Al for being an excellent Captain and the Co-pilots were fantastic too.

With 4 hours of fuel, you guys could make it to the Bahama's. Jerry, you are the only one on CC ! Easy to read, plane is loud. It would have been great to see Celebrations and Disney. Lots of Villages jerry, Great landing and a beautiful day to fly. 🛩They will never Stop building in Fla. 😁plane

Cool show. I flew a piper about 30 yrs. ago. A friend took me up and low and behold he gave me the stick! This was one of the items on my bucket list. The one thing that spooked me was how many planes were up there. You really had to keep your eyes peeled to the surroundings. I have a picture of me flying over my house. GREAT SHOW. You sparked the flying bug in me again.

I think the first minute looked like a scared sh** moment. After the brow wiping, you were fine. Lol. Thanks for the ride-along.

The reason I bought a pre-own house was for the location I’m about half way between Lake Sumter and Spanish Springs. They are my favorite town squares. Like you said a lot of shopping and restaurants. And close to my favorite golf courses, Palmer Legends, Cane Garden and Mallory Hill.

Hi Jerry That was really interesting to watch. Being a retired pilot it brought back some flying memories. You actually flew right over our house in Hawkins. The Villages is unreal in scope. I tried but didn’t see Linda🧐

The flight really puts into perspective just how massive The Villages is. Wow. Great job.

Lovely, thank you for including your videos. I did not realize how many lakes and ponds there is in Florida. Loved the flight. The Villages is a beautiful area and I see the reason why so many people move there. Jerry and Linda you are the best!!

And just think, Lindberg flew across the Atlantic with nothing but a hand held compass, a small mirror he taped to the interior and a fuel gauge and altimeter.No A/C or heat. Amazing.

@@halhelms3858 if legend is true the airplane wasn't equipped with a mirror to look behind him. Before takeoff he asked a woman if he could use her compact mirror. During the flight he used it to look behind him in the plane but also out the window. I'm sure it is somewhere on the old Googler.

I saw what looked like two folks outside in that fly-by, but I think Linda had her arm in the air, so I believe I saw her, too! I paused the video to look - it was like an Easter Egg hunt! 😁

The amount of construction going on the other side of the Turnpike is huge. Easily be an extra 100 000 people in that complex in ten years

Its beautiful but, never would like to live where houses are on top of the other. To congested.

Well, that was fun. Jerry, you keep coming up with new and interesting angles, including now, 1000’ in the air. Thanks to Al and Go Pro, for the experience.

The service ceiling of the Piper is around 14,000 feet. Had you climbed up over 12,000 feet I bet you could have seen both the Gulf and the Atlantic at the same time. It gives you an iteresting perspective of how far (or near) they really are.

@@jimshoe402 Since you would most likely be spending no more than a few minutes at that altitude O2 is not a concern for healthy adults. A quick dip under 8,000 and your good to go.

Boy are these homes crammed in together! Don't understand the appeal. How large is the average lot and what is the ease between them? Great video. Thanks.

Most of the residents don't want to deal with lawn care so they don't want a big lawn. Plus I'd guess a good number of them pretty much stay inside most of the time so being crammed together like that really isn't much of a concern.
