It's usually $800 ($719 right now), which is less than I thought, but it's still a lot of money. It's a cool idea though.

It's less extensive than I thought too. But I wonder if your limited only at 1 cup at a time or if you could male it pour for bigger volumes...

I really really dig the concept but i struggle to think of who this is for... People who really care about coffee will brew pourovers with a grinder of their choice, people who want good coffee without hassle will use a batch brewer. Is there really any intersection between people that want to drink really good pourovers and people that want coffee pods?

I think the key is more or less what I talked about at the end of the video. For me, I’ve found myself using it to replicate some of my favorite pour over recipes very easily. Say I make a really good pour over one day, I can save that recipe to the xBloom and have it repeat it for me daily with whatever coffee I choose

I think it's for people with kids who want a great up but have no time in the mourning maybe. I have 4 boys and it definitely is appealing to me for the time stand point but I also love to make my own pour-over. Even if all four boys are running around like some wild pack dogs the whole time 😅😅😅😅

I'll say, i just got into this coffee world. Looks like a lot of work to make a nice cup. When i have good money, I'd definitely want something like this to satisfy my new found coffee interest without the hassle of doing the whole ritual.

They equate pods with waste, except this pod is compostable. However, depending on how your green waste works, you might have to compost it yourself.

@@confusedwhale You forget how much of the “waste” comes from energy to transport it, this takes up a lot more space in shipping than a densely packed bag, so more CO2 emissions per dose of coffee. It’s less significant over small distances but it’s still objectively wasteful when a far more space efficient option exists.
