I can’t get over the fact that Empress Fuca just got in the blade’s way and wrestled with the emperor without thinking twice so Yongluo wouldn’t get killed. She is the best.

Dr. Ye and the Empress were doing everything to save Yingluo, even lying to the Emperor. Hilarious and dangerous at the same time. He was so intelligent and crafty himself.

Doctor Ye was similar with Ying Luo in some ways, both came from a humble background, both were blatantly honest, both were street smart and didn't know much about complicated etiquette and both had a good grasp of human behavior. It's no wander that both of them become friends. 😂 Knowing the temperamental personality of the emperor of course the doctor tired his best to help Ying Luo escape alive from the angry emperor. The empress treated Ying Luo like a younger sister and was her friend, her mentor. 😅

The empress was madly brave to stop the emperor for killing Ying Luo whit his sword. Only a woman whit such a kind soul and strength could be worthy of Ying Luo deep respect and love. And doctor Ye was very bold to suggest to Ying Luo such a method to get him furious.😃😅😂🤣

She had protection from Dr. Ye and the Empress. Yingluo was too slick as well, faint on command. 😀😃 The Emperor also wanted to hear what she had to say. He knew she wasn't fawning over him so, she would tell him the unvarnished truth. Yingluo walked to him ready to do verbal battle.

HOWEVER WHEN THE EMPEROR ACCIDENTALLY PUSHED THE EMPRESS ON TO THE SEAT YINGLUO EXPLODED AND THEN NO PROBLEM TO EVEN THINK WHAT SHE WOULD SAY TO MAKE THE EMPERROR ANGRY AS THE EMPRESS MEANS EVERYTHING TO YINGLUO AND THE MINUTE THE EMPEROR LOST HIS TEMPER YINGLUO TOOK HER CHANCE TO TELL HIM WHAT SHE REALLY THOUGHT OF HIM.

Thes Qing Dynasty era collars are exquisite _ not so high as to cover the whole neck till the throat; just low but not too exposed. It's dainty and elegant

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN IT : In my opinion, the only women who ever deserved their power and whom the emperor ever truly loved were the current empress in this clip, Rongyin Fuca, and Wei Yingluo. Those two particularly were the most sincere toward the emperor, Yingluo by showing her true nature to him without showing him a facade so he loved and without lying to him and Rongyin with her utmost and sincere devotion and love toward him even though with her status and responsibilities she could not afford loving him to the fullest ( in my opinion she is the most beautiful yet most tragic lead in this drama, my favorite character after Yingluo ). Also, see how both of them behave with him, like in all those women who would actually dare to laugh at the emperor. Rongyin did at the end of the video and at other times she could afford to make bold remarks and joke with him, sometimes at his expense and let’s not talk about Yingluo who is literally bulliying him 😂 Actually, toward the end of SoYP, when yingluo was talking to the emperor after hiding in the box from the 5th prince, he told her (cuz they were talking about her fear of leaving her children without backer in case of her death if you remember) that she was not allowed to leave him( aka to die) like Rongyin did. This was truly, to me at least, the catalyst toward the understanding of my whole point. It is the proof that nobody ever entered the Emperor’s heart except Rongyin and Yingluo. Not surprisingly, and that is why there were able to build a strong relationship with him is that both of them were sincere toward him, and as smart and sharp as he is, of course he knew that. It may sound weird in our age and time, but I believe we can love more than one person, we are shaped to have emotions and love others. I know some of you may disagree about empress fuca (rongyin) and the emperor’s relationship which ended pretty badly I guess and which was never exploited to the fullest because of all their responsibilities, rules, customs, eyes watching them etc,we could even blame the emperor for that but think about it, friends, he was also a victim in this whole system, he had to be first emperor and then man/husband/father/brother. I never agreed more with the saying « Heavy is the head that wears the crown » than when I think about his character. Anyway, just to say, there was true love (unlike with the other concubines) between them, but it was a sad tragic and shackled love just like empress fuca’s life…. Ahh, I really loved that woman, I cried when she died, she was an angel without wings… Thank you if you read until here, hope you enjoyed, I just love making analyses like these, it’s less shallow than just watching and moving on to the next show like robots….plus I really can’t bear to part from these lutte extracts, I am crazy about this show…. tell me if there is some comments or disagreement or even agreement about what I said, I just love to chat 😁

So I know a lot, actually there is a palace drama which depict the time of Hongli ( the one we know in Yanxi palace) which is called Ruyi’s royal love. But this time it is more focused on the 2nd Empress ( former Consort Xian, forgot her clan name ). So she is the FL in this show but I gotta warn you it’s like a 100 times more tragic and pessimistic than Yanxi Palace. It’s literally the most depressed drama to watch but it’s very interesting, it really depict all the struggles and fighting that happens in a palace. Honestly I would not recommend watching it if you are a gentle soul. Here are the drama I would really recommend and that I love ( they also fit the strong female lead criteria ) : -Eternal love of dream -Eternal love -Ancient love poetry -The flame's daughter -Legend of haolan -The legends There is also this one, it’s Korean, there is a bit of historical things, the plot is Amazing, it’s a must to watch. The king: eternal monarch

Except Goodbye my princess lead. After that ... I hated Hongli.. There was a scene where Queen cut her hair and explains him that how many times he has wronged his consorts.. that scene I cannot forget.. Yes in history record she was kind and beautiful. Even when Emperor Qianlong (emperor in this show) turned about 70 years old, he still loved her and went to her graveyard in memorial to talk with her, telling her what‘s going on in his life. He's written thousand of poems but his best works are only those memorial poems for this empress.

Actually nt the empress but the imperial noble consort but she will be hving the role of an empress. She can't technically be the empress because of her family background but there will be no lady above her so she is practically an empress

Yes. It's a happy ending. Yingluo ends up with the emperor and became an imperial noble consort. She died at the age of 47. She never became an empress while living. They had two princesses and two Prince, Yongyan and yonglin. When Yongyan became the emperor, he made her mother an empress. This is a masterpiece. It's worth the watch. There's no boring episode. 😅

@@Skydancer263 She fell ill after accompanying Qianlong to Rehe (likely to the imperial resort). There are speculations that she was poisoned to death, although I don't know how much credit it holds. More plausibly, the multiple pregnancies took a toll on her health, so she died.

Her entire thought process was at any one moment of time she could have been killed and the closest she actually came to actually doing that was when the Empress died he wanted her buried with the empress and she would have gone right along with the notion had it not been for our feisty little Mingyu. This is what all the concubines and Empress did not do they all behaved and history is well known for not remembering well behaved women. It was the first time in his entire life that he truly picked his woman and what a time he had getting her. Love does make us in to jealous tyrants at time.
