Im high Gold and this game still looked like hell to me lol. Also the issue is, as I'm not as high rank, I'd wont be able to carry them the way NoParadox did

When you are the healer, and your team sucks. You keep them all alive, somehow win, and Butcher gets MVP because stats, instead of you clearly playing well. Sigh.

Ninja Yoshi we all know the healer is the real MVP. I am a healer main. It’s so frustrating to see people get votes for MVP and the healer gets squat. Only once in a while will I get MVP as Deckard.

At 13 on a map like this with bottlenecks, the second talent (30% less damage for 4s) is the best imo. It's much less healing to do, and especially since on the other side Jaina might pull a lucky ring because of those same bottlenecks (like she does @17:00)

Didn't Vanadium change in last patch? 1s longer duration and while someone is stunned or rooted, armor is increased to 50. Anyways, nice video. What would you suggest from enemy side as a way to put off Morales?

3:18 the anti-poke one is Blast Shield. It also kinda is the anti-burst one because it can add up to 30% bonus health as shileds while Cellular Reactor takes 4 seconds to heal 40% of max health and consumes a huge amount of energy thus being straight unavailable on low energy. And as a tiny bonus BS gives a tiny bit more energy.

The difference is that one of them is activateable while the other requires hitting a skillshot. Blast Shield grants 6% of Morales' max HP for each hero hit with the Displacement Grenade. Against poke, Caduceus Reactor (trait) should be enough to stay out of the 100-0 range of the enemy assassins. When enemy heroes does get dove on, what matters is how much damage can be mitigated and healed within the next 2~5 seconds. All that said, I do think Blast Shield is better early on as those shields let you play more aggressively while the enemies can't just throw one or two ults at you and take you out.

@@RitaFeldt That's still 10% max HP per second, which is plenty when combined with the armor from Safeguard. I'd say it's about as hard to kill Morales during that time as it is to kill the two heroes affected by Alexstrasza's Lifebinder.

6:01 you clearly talk about an older version of the talent (the one i know) -- but the actual tooltip is different from that. the duration isn't anymore affected by CC, u just get boring 20% more armor by the buff if u are CCed simultaneously

TL:DR: She's not bad because she's easy to kill. It's because there's little she can do to turn a fight and she's slow to gain a macro advantage between fights. She's not as bad in low ranks as you may think. As NotParadox pointed out, Rehgar is generally better for carrying because Morales is all about denying advantages of the enemies as she's bad at creating advantages herself. Waveclear and Campclear is slow, raw damage for teamfights is decent for a healer, but her CC is really bad when compared to the roots and stuns of other healers. All that said, Morales is one of the best if not the best support to keep a single hero alive when adding up her healing output and damage mitigation potential. If her allies move too far from her, she's not the best at catching up because she has no convenient movement ability and for the same reason she's also not the best healer for escaping from the enemy team, but as long as you don't compromise your position just because your frontline dove into the deep end, you'll do just fine.

Since you seem confused as to how silver team comps work I thought I’d make a quick guide to help you. Varian + morals = 90% win Butcher + morals = 90% win Butcher + Varian = 80% win Butcher + Varian + morals = gg! There is a magic point some place in gold where people stop banning KT, Varian, Butcher and Diablo and switch to Kel, Alarak and something that makes sense to the team comps. Why I’m saying 90% win in silver? Short answer, peel doesn’t happen and dps never covers the tank when they do go in, so there is almost never a good engage. That makes it easy easy for Varian, add Butcher and easy stack. Then once he has it late game is more or less free win. I bet jo didn’t blind nearly enough or at the right time :P Unless Jaina is very good with her ring of frost or Dehaka managed to go in and drag you back to the other team for a quick kill (that would require zoning Varian out so he can’t taunt since I don’t expect stich to actually hook morals to safety, oh and the team to actually follow up), then they have no way at this rank of stopping you unless your team is truly terrible. Self-quote: “dps never covers...” up to you jaina! “follow up”.. ok never mind :D Your team. They are not bad, your team is playing like gold dusted rocking horse shit! Sticking together, some kind of soaking and OMG playing the map even just a little! Send me some of these teams and stop sighing while you play! You don’t know how lucky you are I think lol Try an EU server and a game where not everyone understands English 100% clearly and try to get out of silver/gold with strategy alone! Pings can only do so much. Btw stop smurfing. I quote: “why are you smurfing?” “NotParadox dose it so it’s a thing now.” YOU ARE IMPACTFUL, please set a good example. Currently 1 in 5 games has a smurf (low level with 20+ranked wins in a row and very few losses) in low ranked on EU servers lately. As to the “you will get smurfs on your team so its even” people: Assuming you and your friends are not smurfs, here is what you can expect after 5 games. Firstly the other team always has a 20% change of getting a smurf (1player in 5 games [25 chances]) So, if you go solo you have a 16% chance of a smurf on team. [20 chances as you always take up 1 slot] Team of 2, you will have a 12% chance. Play as a 3 and 8% chance (probably less) And as 4, effectively 0% chance as these smurfs are here to carry a team not play solo. Its unbalanced. Save it for QM, don’t advertise it on youtube. If you wana to show people how to play low ranked games then get low ranked players to play them.

I’d say he’s good. Just focus on healing. Don’t dive off of walls into the enemy team trying to knock people back. It’s a common mistake.

One thing I dont like is that high silver + gold goes against low bronse. There is not much "carrying" to be done tbh.

That build is atrocius man, I really prefer the 1 talent that gives you energy when someone is attacked having the shield on. Muuuuch more energy in less time, paired with the 7 talent you picked, which gives you a lot of time to gain some energy and continue healing, and of course the double shield is much more value, you're not supposed to give autoattacks to heroes being a healer of backlane man, is too risky, you put yourself in danger doing that.

while aa talent gives mega much more energy over time. it also increases aa range so it isn't that risky. the SG talent also requires using a powerful defence ability to gain energy when it should be held back for negating high bursts of damage. no reason to pick Life Support unless you know you'll struggle with consistent basic attacks

14:30 this makes me so mad playing with these guys they let forts die to minions for free then they report me and get my account banned. silvers so hard for me to get past because my teammates rage at things that would make us win the game and i dont have time to explain the basics and fundamentals during the game. i cant let my fort die to minons ill clear it and let them all ping me and die. 20:40 all it takes is one guy to back and clear

I normally agree with your videos, NP, but you are playing Morales wrong. Safeguard build is best, with multi-target healing at 7. Especially with 2+ melee on your team, you get more energy and stay safer, while healing multiple targets (3 if you get double Safeguard at 16.

What is with all the butcher hate? Nah I know he is in a pretty bad spot. Always has been, but he's still my fave.

@Vector313 His positioning is very good. He did get tongued by Dehaka once, but other than that, he dodged pretty much everything. The grenade is pretty much your only escape, so it's often better to just save it unless you really need it. Even GMs make lots of mistakes, but the problem is that you make a lot more and take a lot more damage. If you can't tell the difference, then you need to up your analysis skills or more likely, just set aside the ego and be more critical on yourself. It's always hard to criticize yourself, and in our heart, it fights against us, but one thing that has helped me is to tell myself to focus on the things I can control and forget about the things I cannot. In particular, each death you get is usually at least one mistake by you - those are the easy ones.

There are so much mistakes and assuptions in your words. First, don't take risks and only after you have learned this start to make more bold moves.

Stopped watching after 8 mins in, because there were already something like 3 or 4 big teamfights where you let Butcher die or almost die by letting 3 heroes pile on him and him alone without bumping them away from him for some reason. Now, all due credit/deference, and unashamed disclosure: I've never played Lt. Morales, but unless I'm misunderstanding something very significant?.....that was a terrible play, frequently repeated, that endangered your primary stated goal (keeping Butcher), which, indeed (given terrible team comp), was also your team's best chance of winning.

TL:DR: Reactively pulling back after the nade hits is uncommon in low ranks. It can also mess with your teammates. Morales' healing+armor is pretty solid in those deathmatch situations already. The displacement grenade can be very effective if aimed well, but can also mess with your teammates a whole lot. The problem with Butcher is that he needs to keep attacking branded targets for healing, which requires him to stay in melee range as well as not being blinded or stunned. Even if the Butcher's Brand has already been used, melee heroes will follow the target that has been knocked away because it's out of range now, unlike ranged heroes who would simply stand still. In both cases, it's on the dps player to cancel their previous commands and pull back. I'm not saying it happens just in low ranks, but I feel like players on melee heroes tend to just keep chasing after the enemy heroes much more often.
