The Moon's Shadow ENVELOPED US! - Solar Eclipse Documentary
Last year Dan, Danae and I set out to get the hardest, but BEST view we could get of solar eclipse from the ground!
Trust be, it'll be worth the wait it took me to post this.

Killer timelapse of the Milky Way! I need a nap now. Watching you carry that backpack in altitude uphill made me tired. I feel for you...but it was totally worth it. Cool video!
gotta love your enthusiasm.

13:59 I can't believe some jerk asked you guys to be quite. Oh, that burns me up! Who the hell does that guy think he is?! I would have told him - in no uncertain terms - to F-Off, but in the interest of peace and the occasion, you guys did the right thing.
Nice Milky Way time-lapse. I don't think I'll ever forget the eclipse! It was so awesome!
Excellent documentary! This has to be some of the most comprehensive and most scenic solar eclipse footage from 2017.
The lunar eclipse this year: Corona: I’m gonna have to stop you right there
beautiful just beautiful
Your friends seem to be a little irritated... but you my friend...I just love, love, you made this video worth watching. Great shots and thanks for sharing this beauty with us!!!
See I get to see great views from PI without getting out of my bed and exercising or lifting any heavy equipment. Thanks PI, lol
Wow! That’s just amazing! I didn’t even knew this was possible!
Incredible footage. And nice break on the weather, wow.
This is one of the better videos of the Solar Eclipse of 2017. I went to Nashville to see the totality of the Eclipse and got some AMAZING pics of the different phases of the Eclipse from the diamond ring to bailys beads and then totality. I would have enjoyed seeing it from a mountain top like you did.
Wow! You put a lot of effort into your adventures and videos. Glad to be finding this channel now.
Your videos are better from every post. Your one of my favorite channels. Keep up the good work bro B-)
That timelapse was spectacular, and your footage of the eclipse was just brilliant! Well done! You should be proud. Especially after that gruelling hike with such a heavy load! Donae didn't seem too enthused by the experience tho. Great views and amazing shots
Thanks for the adventure! Loved your pics and footage! Inspires me to get out there in 2024
The worst day of 2017 was the solar eclipse because I was in school and some of the students got to see And none of us got to see It except the chosen ones
I really like these adventure vlogs on this channel! I hope you can keep some decent viewership on this channel, I'm sure the algorithm isn't a big fan of the inconsistent uploads
one time the wind blew the solar filter off my telescope because it wasn't in very tight. I'm thankful I was looking at my phone and not through the eyepiece or else I'd have one less eye, part of the eyepiece melted instantly
Dude that was the best video I have ever seen good job man !
That was so cool love it I miss that in 2019 !!! Darn it !! 😥 can’t wait for 2024 !!!!! Two years from now I ll be younger then lol

THAT was amazing!!! Thanks Pi!
I watched this eclipse while sitting in a river. Best day ever. Nothing like seeing something like this with your own eyes, and the experience
Loving your upload schedules
Yes, indeed. Natures finest display!
That corona is so cool
I was worried that guy might say keep it down a little again lol.
I am shocked this doesn't have more views... awesome job.
That is just beautiful...
i remember being 10 going to Tennessee with my dad to see the eclipse in 2017. It was undescribable! no camera could get as good of a picture as the naked eye
Superb footage.

Epic!!! 👌 Hey from Ireland. I saw one here back in 1999 its truly awe inspiring ain't it!!?? Can't wait for the next.. Hey I'm so jealous of u for two reasons, u can get to see tornados,! An u can afford to wreck a drone! I can't even afford a Mavic or a phantom 😡 hahaha.. Seriously epic shots tho! Can I ask u something? the footage of the mountains with the milky-way time lapse, was that reslly what you filmed, as in the milky-way or was the real footage of the mountains edited with some graphics of the milky way? 🤔 I couldn't figure it out coz iv never seen a shot of the milky way and stars like that, the stars seemed huge! It's was brilliant either way I'm just a curious dude ✌
Great video mate!
this is awesome
I remember this ! I live in Florida so we watched it, it wasn't totality, but it got cooler and darker and it was awesome!
Cool video!
haha, this reminds me so much of a trip I took down to Wilson's Promontory. I took way too much stuff in my pack. It was about 25kg with the tent. My friend, who was a doctor, was originally going to take the next day off and we were going to camp overnight, but she felt guilty about missing ward round. After walking 18km to our destination, we had to walk another 21km UPHILL to the car in the Mt Oberon car park. For the last 7km, every step was agony. It seemed like it would never end!! I can so empathise with you!! edit after watching till near end - you got some amazing footage, even despite the problems with the cameras!!
definitely got to see the shadow bands too. we were in Nantahala National Forrest In Western North Carolina. It was quite possibly the best day i will ever have in my life. nothing will compare. as you said.
Next time your in Wyoming you got a place to stay love your videos
Duh-Nay seems like a peach.... Good Luck with that Bro!
That's so cool!
Epic time lapse
This video was amazin
Ooh, More Pi!
I really liked this video! I was in school when the solar eclipse happened and we went outside when it happened. It wasn't as dark as in this video but it was still cool. :D

It was so cool when I went to see it
Nice video, I didnt know you still upload lol, just saw your Lego candy machine video
I remember watching this but i didnt have eclipse glasses. Instead, my dad gave me and my sister welding masks. Id say that they worked pretty well since i'm not blind right now.
Watching this in 2020 and he says oh look at that corona!!
I did a video too. I had a plane go through my shot as well. Drove from Florida to South Carolina to see it and it was so worth it!!!
It looked like it was getting dark but as soon as I saw that it was moving I was surprised!😮
Whoa thats cool
I got to see it up near Scottsbluff and it was amazing!
cool video dude
This was on my birthday
You are back
More pi = best youtuber ever
That plane was actually a plane contracted by some scientists to fly along the path of the shadow and eek out a few extra seconds of totality! I saw a vid on it, and they flew near the Tetons, so that's cool that you saw them!
Man, great video, how long did it take to edit a video like this
More Pi: wow look at that
Those viewsssss i wanna go there so bad 😍😍😍

I watched this one from Dayville, Oregon, and the next one from La Serena, Chile. Then an Annular in December 2019 from Guam, and will see the December 2020 eclipse from Chile on the border of Argentina. I already have my reservations for flight, rental cars, and hotels, including 2 day after the eclipse in Patagonia. I invited my brothers to come, all they would need to pay for is their flight, and food, but they backed out because they also wanted to go Bolivia and Peru afterwards, so we decided to make that a separate trip. So I have hotels and rental cars all to myself.
Thanks for the new wallpapers lol 😂
15:05 a yellow waning crescent moon
if you were doing that in Undertale you refuse to give up because you are filled with determination
I actually been for this solar eclipse
Yo I'm one of your Rubik's cube fans
Who would say no to those time lapses
More Pi: Wow
If he fell backwards with his giant backpack a lot of his thing would be crushed.
18:05 Wow look at the craters on the moon What you thought was a star it’s Venus The plane eclipsing it lol
was hat snow that you guys were camping right next to?
She was very grumpy the whole trip.

That is a defined Solar eclipse
I just realized they’re going camping and I’m going camping today! #WokeUp at 4AM Didn’t want to!
HOLY
I literally live in the totality path so all I had to do was walk into my front yard to watch lol
Man I just wanted to also see the sun get covered by the moon without parts of it getting cut!
yay pi is still alive
I am now whole interview without those solar eclipse you can't see me blind
You are really over-excited xD
Crying because I didn't see the Eclipse
2024 hikes up a bigger Mountain
So during the April 8th 2024 total solar eclipse, the solar maximum is supposed to be taking place, meaning that the Corona should look WILD
OMG LOOK AT THE CORONA Me: YEA! *wait a minute...*
before covid: "LOOK AT THAT CORONA" after covid: "OH NO, THAT CORONA"
