The Montessori Dictionary - Spooning

What is so special about Spooning?
There is just something about this simple motion that is so satisfying to these little people. For adults, using a spoon is so common of a task we may not even realize how complicated it can be. A specific set of motions must be used to accomplish our task, and there is very little room for error. So, teaching our little ones how to spoon can be very helpful.
Jenny is going to teach you how to present a simple Montessori spooning activity the right way, explain thee benefits and also give you tips on how to vary up this activity in school or at home.
00:47 - How to present a spooning activity
02:06 - The benefits of spooning activities
06:33 - Variations for spooning
09:40 - Extending spooning into everyday activities

Pls keep uploading such informative videos. It's a boon especially during lockdown. Helps us understand our kids and their capabilities better. You are educating us parents to keep an open mind instead of fussing too much over our children. I have a preschooler.... Pls suggest more such simple practices that can b DIY at home . Where I'm based Montessori tools r bit expensive & not easily available.

Thank you so much for your teaching, please when teaching these Montessori practicals, how many children would you advise to teach at a time? And would each child get a turn once you are done? What happens if other children get bored after their own turn?

In Montessori we present to one child at a time. The other children are working on activities of their own.
