in the theatres i’m gonna be like “oh i remember that scene from the tv spot” and “yo that was that sick and spoiled shot from that one teaser”

Also I wouldn’t say the entirety of King of the Monsters was ruined my the trailer, at least not for me. I didn’t think that shot was of Mothra dying, I don’t think I noticed thermonuclear Godzilla, I didn’t think that was serizawa dying. I watched the movie and still really enjoyed it

A lot of it could be made from assumptions, but I think a majority of ppl knew what the scenes were, if you didn't pay much attention then good on you, but there were even Jakks pacific toys showing burning Godzilla so you could put 2 and 2 together lol

I read something years ago that movie studies have seen studies that by showing people what their going to see,it somehow allows people to be comfortable in buying tickets.

I literally watch all the GxK tv spots 💀 and idc im still watching it as if I never saw the tv spots! Just subscribed

When I saw the trailer in theaters, I just thought it was funny seeing Godzilla sprinting. He’s just doing a 100 meter dash while being huge.

I have to assume this only applies to the theorist type fans, who analyze and break down every detail of every shot, frame by frame, to get the details. For the rest of us, we just see a bunch of random flashes of color and chaotic movement and destruction, like it's a Michael Bay Transformers movie.

Nah cause, for an example, imagine if Gamera was in a new film and they wanted to keep it a secret until the film came out, then like 5 days before it releases they decide to literally put a scene of him in a tv spot so it basically ruins the excitement ppl will have once he appears in the film

@@ShowyPopcorn Again, that assumes that I can even tell from the 0.4 second, illuminated, monochromatic shot, that it's Gamera being shown. I wouldn't have had a clue that I was looking at Mothra if other people hadn't already been talking about it.

@@ShowyPopcorn You talking about that shot at the end with the four of them? I don't know why showing the main villains would be a problem. We're supposed to know something about what the movie is gonna be about. That's the point of a trailer; to sell us on watching it. I'm talking about all the little spoiler moments the video talks about like burning Godzilla or Mothra dying. Shots that pass by me in an instance as part of a montague of chaotic flashes. Besides, that final clash shot is honestly more than likely a purposeful misdirection that won't even be in the movie. Has way too much of that "Avengers running together" shot feel.

Nah I wasn't referring to the shot it's of another monster (rather not say cause of spoilers), but about Shimo tbh the more I think abt it Shimo being kept as a secret is something I don't think rlly matters as it's not like she's a monster we've seen before so having a couple of shots with her is fine, but Burning Godzilla and mothra dying in those trailers is something I feel like the average person would raise an eyebrow to, but I get what you're saying about how you would most likely miss it but idk to me seems like a bit much for a trailer

I don’t really blame them for showing like little parts of shimo because I’m pretty sure Evan before the first or second trailer same out playmates though it was a good idea to just have the toys already in stores 💀

GxK honestly did pretty well with not showing everything. Lots of surprises in that film for me! And they barely showed anything in the Egypt fight

I watched all the MonsterVerse movies without seeing any trailers for any of them except a really short 5 seconds of a GxK one. The absolute best cinema experiences I've ever had. My favourite moment was Godzilla going thermonuclear. I hadn't seen it until seeing it on the big screen. I literally had water streaming down my face. Better than any superhero movie moment. I saw mechagodzilla in a youtube video title that spoiled it before I saw GvK. I had no idea the hollow Earth would be in GvK, nor that the Iwi tribe would live down there in GxK, and I had no idea there were going to be more ape monsters before going to see GxK. I feel like my expe5is so different from other people's, and that all reviews given by people who saw the trailers are an underrating Edit Phone changed nor to now 🤦🏻

I'm glad somebody shares my point of view. That being I like hype but not many spoilers in the form of TV spots or foreign trailers. I think these spoilers have to stop on all platforms because that is what hurts a film's profit. I get roping in an audience, but don't spoil everything in the trailers and leave us with the only new scenes being that with the humans.

Anyways uh you earned a sub I changed my mind, i watched the movie Skar king was very unexpected he is so goddamn mean in this movie he is using pain to control shimo and is laughing at kong for using a metal tooth but later on in the final battle he lost his tooth and kong was just doing this sorta giga chad smirk but still he is more agile then i have ever expected.

@@ShowyPopcorn in my opinion, it’s better than 2014 because Godzilla has more screen time, better lighting, better moments, and much better fights. It also brought back burning Godzilla which made me so happy. That scene where he shoots the beam in the air is the undisputed best scene in the entire monsterverse, and Ghidorah is the goat, but Mechagodzilla will always be my fav
