ConeOfArc: I 1st questioned this in the Disney film Enchanted. The cast sings a song that's about 4 minutes long, yet every other line cuts to another part of New York City. So, either they sing the song multiple times in different locations or stop singing in 1 location then go to another location to continue singing the next part of the song.

I just love how both the haracters clearly vibe with each other and are supportive rather than just revelling in the inevitably embarrassing premise.. plus the dry cleaning thing was utterly genius

By any chance you recall one exactly like this one? Usually is the guy talking to the crew or partner in the same location and cutting to the places he's mentioning while the narration continues, sometimes they are also in said locations already executing the plan parallel to the narration. I honestly don't remember a famous one like this to the point it felt kind of odd hearing the sentences continue while the locations changed.

Nick Cage tells his buddy, in the National Archives, that he’s gonna steal the Declaration of Independence, and then next scene they’re sitting at the Lincoln memorial and his buddy picks up the conversation like, “what do you mean???” Dude that’s like a 20+ minute walk! Did they just walk in silence the whole time or rent scooters? I burst out laughing the last time I watched it .

3:40 the readjustment in the seat he does to listen is THE MOST accurate thing in this skit

I love that a lot of your videos tend to strive from the comedy in adding realism to movie tropes. everyone at some point as seen a montage in a movie and thought "so did they like drive for an hour to get there just to say one thing?" but no one has ever gone through an acted it out before which is the reason this video and all your other videos are so good. just real life situations shoved into common movie tropes. (tl;dr you guys should have a way bigger following)

I've literally always thought about this Like in Disney movies when they suddenly change location and are on the same verse, like do they just randomly stop singing until they're in another scenic location?

I love the way they do those cuts in archer where they use it to make a joke

Whenever I see this in a movie/show, my headcanon is that they’re repeating the same conversation (or at least running through the important points), or we’re watching a condensed version of a much longer conversation.

Yeah I assumed everyone thought this, like it was implicit that it’s just a full conversation that they’re talking about as they go to the locations, conveniently split for the audience to get the short version.

To be super popular on KZread, the trend is to throw garbage against a wall and hope it sticks. Chris and Jack put in a lot of effort into their videos and keep the quality really high, therefore less people are going to see their content. I hope they get popular soon because they definitely deserve it.

The good chemistry between your guys makes all the scenes between the movie-cuts so enjoyable. A bit of realism, healthy social behaviour, friendship, cute character traits, great moviemaking.
