TV coverage barely showed the Villa fans all game, they favoured repeating shots of Lille kids kissing the badge. The penalty coverage didnt show the halfway line at all either - all in all this video is the only way to see the scenes, hear the chants and get a window into the away day experience. Thank you so much Max and Simon for taking us with you. On the game, we were in energy conservation mode and lets not flatter Lille, its not like we were battered, we ended the game with more shots on target. UTV

Agreed. Guy's been out a few weeks, comes back, plays 120 minutes, scores the equaliser, and puts his penalty away. And OW, having to wait 3 minutes to take his pen puts it away after a non stellar record from the spot . Cojones, both of them. And yeah, Emi did ok too. UTV and great vid VOT

Watching at home on the TV, I may be one of just a handful that last saw us in a European semi final. I was just 10 when my grandad took me home and away to Anderlecht and then to Rotterdam for the final. It would be brilliant to see us win this in honour of him and give my kids something to remember. Up the Villa and thank you Max for these videos, I wake up early after every match looking forward to seeing these videos from your and the Villa faithfuls perspective.

Don’t normally comment but felt like it was an appropriate time. After reaching our first semi final for 42 years. My first game was away to forest in 1979. I was lucky to support villa throughout the great times and was lucky to be at Anderlecht for our last and only other semi final with my mate Ricky. Lived in Adelaide for nearly 20 years and always love watching your videos that remind me of similar times with my mates including being down in 1987 and coming back up. Certainly they come for the money and go. Or their agents do. And, indisputably, it is located in England. Many of the current 'foreign' players are exceedingly skilful. But, as an entity, AVFC means nothing to them. Would you support AVFC if (when?) the team became all Brazilian ?

@clicknafea I've followed Villa since I was a wee lad, so I've seen the highs and the lows, and even at the lowest of the lows, it would have been inconceivable to stop aupporting them and follow another team. If Villa Park moved to Brazil, that would be weird as it would be akin to moving my second home. If it was a team of Brazillian players well, that would be similar to having guests in my home, so it's not a problem in all honesty. As a fan, we all want to see our team do well and be entertained in the same way I can admire a team I don't support that plays entertaining football. That is because I'm a fan of the game in general.

From the Xeneize (Boca Juniors) family much support to Villa and to Dibu. You may not know this but all of Argentina was rooting for you on this game as well. Love to see Dibu being loved by Villa fans as much as we do here. He is insane in all the best ways. LET'S GO VILLA!!!
