I seem to remember a very long time ago in speedway star. There was a feature on a 9 year old boy who wanted to be a speedway commentator. I’m sure it was Nigel ?? My memory etc but I am absolutely convinced I see this in the speedway star

Hate this format where you can win without winning. It needs to be changed it is ruining the spirit of racing.

It's a team race, it's no different to every other motor sport, every other motorsport just call it a "constructors championship", the teams at Speedway of Nations and in regular speedway are just constructors basically, each rider still has their own rewards like other motorsports

@@mightymushroom4980 I do not agree. In league speedway the scoring is still the same as in individual racing, it is only in SON that they have changed it and it leads to ridiculous situations where sometimes the 2nd and 3rd place riders are not even trying to catch the first place rider. One year it lead to a ridiculous situation where Leon Madsen was leading by half a lap, but had to stop and almost get off the bike to try and help his partner, because it is better to be 2nd and 3rd than winning. This can be dangerous because it leads to riders dropping speed to slow down rider from behind. It is a backwards system and it needs to go.

@@tkmikkelsen1 if they thought it was dangerous or a stupid idea then they wouldn't have done it in the first place, it's all down to the riders if they agree with it or not, so far they all seem happy with the way it is, Speedway has always been funny like that though, there has been times where Poole Speedway team has decided to just do 2nd and 3rd place to score team points, it won't ever change
