those photos you showcased using the lens were miiiiighty fine. I was thinking about grabbing the 18mm wide angle lens as my first moment lens but honestly those photos alone have convinced me that this anamorphic lens might just have to be the one I buy first lmao

Moment sells a lens pen cleaning tool to help you get in the small lens opening. Hope that helps!

When using the anamorphic lens, which aspect ratio do you select in filmic pro? Also, what is optimum frame rate, ISO and shutter speed on filmic pro?

When you have an anamorphic lens, does the compression change the way your body/face looks on video?

When taking a picture with the anamorphic lens, how do you de squeeze the picture if you shot it in raw in your computer? Are u using photoshop??

Hope they have a case for the Pixel 5 so I can get this lens. A bit pricey but the overall effect is very impressive

*_You can probably clean the internal dust with a keyboard cleaner, a spray can that shoots out compressed air lol_* It usually comes with a very thin straw to get in between the keys & I'm willing to bet a million potatoes that that thin straw will get into the lens's hole

What software do you use to desqueeze on your computer??

Hi and thank you for your video, I would suggest to clean the inset lens on the rear, hit it wit a Q tip using little 70% alcohol and air blasting it with a can of pressed air to blow out any hidden dust particles

Do you need a case to mount the lens or can you use just the phone. Or is it compatible with other cases!? I want to get for my girlfriend.

Totally love my Moment Anamorphic lens. I found myself using it more and more for still images and really loving the look of them however we still don't have a great place to post Anamorphic frames. If Instagram ever gives us a landscape mode/view i think Anamorphic stills would shine.

the only way to show the entire photo in IG is by adding the black bars at the top and bottom, thus making it a 16:9 aspect ratio

So i got one....why text is not infocus even in the middle of the frame?

I'm personally not a big fan of the flares but those photos look sooo amazing!! Kudos more for the photographer than the lens though ha

Hello, thanks for this video. So which app do you use to shoot photos with anamorphic format? I tried filming in hight resolution and then doing screenshots. Not bad, but still the black stripes up and down... 😅

Why go to the trouble and expense of using an anamorphic lens, which can twist and warp the image, when you could use a wide-angle adapter, and crop the top and bottom for the anamorphic aspect ratio? In either situation, you’re getting the full horizontal resolution of the camera, and software is throwing away the top and bottom to give you the wide/short aspect ratio.

You mention the dust in the back of the lens. 3 things to do. I know you must know this because you are also using dslr gear. 1) Blower. The same you should use to blow dust of your Dslr sensor. 2) lens cleaner and a qtip. Slightly wet the the qtip, and carefully in a circular clean the rear element. 3)Moment makes rear lens caps, sold on Amazon. You should also be sure to clean the mount on the case and the lens on the camera before mounting the Moment lens.
