The story here being that Hangman Page seemingly fell back into old habits once he rejoined the Elite.. And it's true in a way.. You notice him drinking beer again.. Something he gave up on his road to the top.. A little hint of him getting comfortable..hearing about that annoys Hangman because it's what lead to him losing everything in the first place.. This time he's not wallowing in self pity though... Hes getting angry and upset..

True, but it's not like Hangman been in this huge run. And Hangman should be treated as a former world champ. But they need to help Swerve , so I figure they have a couple of wins where each guys win. Or a draw, or a count out. Obviously if swerve wins a match he must cheat he's the heel. But what's more important is developing a good story that goes beyond their feud.

Jeeeebus.... this is the BEST Swerve promo I've ever seen!!! 🔥🔥 He builds up Page at first and then just SAVAGELY tears him down and it all makes sense too... just PERFECT! I want to see these 2 fight it so badly now.... lol... And Swerve deserves a spot, might as well take it off one of the "Original Cornerstones".

Watching Swerve literally come into his own in this PROMO is insanely TELLING ABOUT HOW TRUSTING YOURSELF AND BEING YOURSELF PAYS OFF… THIS PROMO IS THE EPITOME OF ELITE!

This is gonna be a very nice feud, it’s big for Swerve facing former world champion Adam Page. It has also been a while since Hangman has been in a single’s program I hope that it will be good.

Swerve has always been a guy that’s had big main event potential in my eyes. He’s a phenomenal in-ring worker with an exciting moveset, he’s got a great look with the charisma to back it up, and while I knew he was good on the mic, this promo was beyond what I thought he was capable of. I hope Swerves work here impressed AEW creative as much as it impressed me.

Hangman can afford to lose this feud against Swerve. I kinda want to see Hangman go down the whole downtrodden route before raising up again. Swerve is due to win a feud that he's in in AEW. The guy is too good to lose most of his important matches all the time. I want TK to push Swerve to an intl or TNT title first before pushing him to the world title in a year or two further the line.

People forget how over Hangman was before they signed Punk 2 years ago...he was the top Babyface of the company in July 2021 but he left for paternity leave and when he came back Punk was the top face ...yes I know Page won the title but he was not quite at the level he was previously and now he can be and he will bring Swerve to the top of the card with him
