@@healtheworldnow I`m not Christian, but I like the sentence "A tree is known by its fruit." Belief alone doesn`t make you any better or righteous. I`m agnostic and I have better morals and righteous behaviour than 99% of people around me. If God/Allah/whoever sends me to hell for questioning religions based on the only evidence of a book, then I gladly accept this fate. Because I do not need a book to tell me what is correct and wrong, I have my brain and my heart and my family.

Interesting you brought up AtaTürk. Few years back I was vacationing in Turkey. My friends & I ended up in AtaTürk mausoleums. We were ushered (I felt forced) to watching hour long documentary on AtaTürk. Something about him made me sick to my stomach. Couldn’t be on the grounds for more than 15 minutes I had excuse myself, went across the street and waited for my friends to done. As soon as left the ground I immediately felt better. Till this day when ever his name is brought up my soul wants to scream. I have never felt that way before nor since about anyone, anything or anyplace I have been to many historical sites, where humanity was brutalized. I can feel the sadness of the land, watching that documentary for me (I lasted 5 minutes) was like I was watching all the horror, sick, twisted & gory movies all at the same. I can’t even look at his pic.

Greetings from Turkey. We have a phrase called "Bir lisan bir insan" literally translates to "One language/tongue (equals to) one human/person/personality." Since English is not my native language I benefited a lot from you, especially to educate my English-self in Islam, to refer back to that phrase. The thing you mentioned about our history, "dönme" it's a casual word(dönme dolap, i.e means ferris wheel), but by itself it sounds insulting, but I've never thought about its history. Also the person you mentioned, I won't repeat the name, If I remember correctly, he's protected by the laws and it would create a huge chaos if one of us would say the things you said, here in Turkey. Our history after the republic is uhmm, quite smoky so to say. I've only heard it as a rumor. His followers are quite a headache to argue with, I'd rather talk with a Christians from another country. If you talk against him here, they will simply hate you. And people are mocked for their religion quite seriously, the history of the mocking was worse and it's not that common but it's still there.

His knowledge is not profound at all at least about the Jewish one. Mashiach is not only a political figure. He is also a political figure but mainly a religious reformer who will bring the Jews and all the people in the world to believe in the right way. You have only to read in the prophets and the holy Jewish books as the book of Maimonides in order to have this knowledge. In the Jewish religion the task of the king always was political and religious as Judaism doesn`t separate between the two.

WOW i am very impressed that you spoke about Shabtai Tzvi, not a lot of people know who he is and they dont understand how his following is still very strong till this day. there is an anthropologist named Robert Sepher who wrote a book about him called 1666 Redemption Through Sin, very compelling and you can actually find videos on youtube from him that talk about this. In one of his videos about it he shows a video recorded in the mid 2000’s where a man talks about how Shabtai Tzvi’s following is still active in israel and america and that guy ended up getting assassinated. i think there is something strange in america with the city of chicago and the university system, especially chicago and north carolina. I think it is tied to political zionism because in almost two years of my online research things keep tracing back to chicago. I get the feeling with all the news articles mentioning how scientists are making progress in the study of molecular entanglement that they may be doing some kind of sorcery. I do not know if i am being attacked with all the synchronicity that keeps hitting me or if it is a strange thing that Yehovah is doing in my life and probably other people's lives. Please pray for me. I have started to feel a huge respect for Muslims since seeing all the suffering the Palestinians are going through and how they keep saying God is sufficient. I am just searching for truth so I can worship יהוה in the way He wants. There are still Dönme living in Turkey, some in Istanbul but mostly in Izmir. The word Dönme comes from the verb 'dönmek' which means to turn. Indeed it is a very derogatory term amongst the Jews in Turkey who are not members of that sect. The best way to describe it in English is to use the term 'turncoat'. Although they still exist in Turkey, given that they know that Muslims and Jews, especially Jews are suspicious of them, they are not openly practicing their unusual branch of faith which also has traits from Sufism within it. Alhamdulillah we have clear guidance within our holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of our beloved prophet, saw. Ma'assalama.

There's still a clash between the followers of "Donme" and the "true" Muslims in the Turkish society. Erdogan has played a big role in this conflict that has divided Turkey. The power of the army in a political meaning is diminished thanks to this conflict and Erdogan's leadership. Many of the followers of Donme is imprisoned. One can say that Erdogan has brought back Islam to play a greater role in the Turkish society, but he's still a political figure and power player above all. Despite that, he stands up for the Muslim Brotherhood, but not to the degree that he openly supports groups like Hamas. Erdogan is a shifty player and he knows the game. I'm a Protestant Christian, so I believe that the faith in God is there to balance the political side of man. According to the Evangelium, Jesus said: Give to the king what belongs to him and to God Almighty what belongs to Him. Therefore I can't say that a politician can bring about the faith in God, but Erdogan is at least not an enemy of his faith. 🇸🇪

Turkey and Iran, as it turns out, are the only states who actually stand up for the Palestinians and they are not even Arabs. I don't even know what an Islamic army would look like. Daesh? To me, it's as unlikely as a united Christian army. Those days are long gone.✝️

I’m a “Christian” and this guy is very knowledgeable. I do believe the chosen people will be called back to Israel and rebuild the temple. But I do not believe the messiah will destroy them. I believe he will convince them he is who he says he is.

There will be a new world a new heaven a new Jerusalem. This is what Bible says...no need to kill or hate. God is in control. And yes Jesus is coming to Jerusalem Israel.

I am a muslim clergyman, living in US, origionally from Turkey, last semester I thought a course on mesiah in three religions. I have great respect for this lecturer. But my personal opinion is that knowledge of things related to future in all religions have no bases in actual fact. From Quranic perspective they have no value of judgement. if you peruse the Quran you can find verses which say humans do not and can not know ghayb, period.

With all due respect, the prophet himself (pbuh) talked about the signs after putting the caveat that nobody knows the timing of the Hour (end of the times). What's been discussed here is about those signs. As you also mentioned, these are ghayb (unseen), therefore those news come in a cryptic language and can be applied to multiple times throughout the history. I guess they help people to hold onto Islam in a meaningful way in those challenging times, instead of losing faith.

As the speaker said you cannot derive a ruling from nor act on these types of Hadith they are just describing future events just like the Hadith about Bedouins competing in building tall buildings, nothing wrong with building tall buildings just signs for Muslims to remember this life is only temporary.
