BUT...Lithuania's current territory was created through the robbery of Polish territories and the expulsion of Poles. Nothing is forgotten. It is not forgotten that the Wilno region (in Lithuanian Vilnius) was mostly inhabited by Poles and that the Lithuanians, together with the Soviets, expelled the Poles. Poles were also murdered during the expulsion. Only few Poles who are now the Polish minority in Lithuania have not been expelled. These Poles are today discriminated against by the Lithuanians. The fact is that the Polish minority in Lithuania today is discriminated, disadvantaged and patronized by the Lithuanians. Today Lithuania would actually be in accordance with internationally valid regulations obliged to set up bilingual Polish Lithuanian road signs in areas populated by poles. But Lithuania does not do that. In 2014 rejonu solecznickiego district municipality administrative director Bolesław Daszkiewicz (Written in Polish) was fined about €12,500 for failure to execute a court ruling to remove Lithuanian-Polish street signs. The Polish woman Lucyna Kotłowska was fined ~€1700 for the same reason! The Lithuanians forced also the Poles to Lithuanianize their surnames, i.e. the spelling of the Polish surnames was Lithuanian changed against the will of the Polish citizens, despite the Polish-Lithuanian agreement of 1994 which was supposed to protect the rights of the Lithuanian and Polish minorities. For example, the Polish name Kleczkowski has to be spelled Lithuanian Klečkovski in official documents. Incidentally, the Polish first name Anna had to be spelled Ana. This regulation for Poles was only recently lifted after virtually all Polish surnames were lithuanized. These are just a few examples of many of the permanent discrimination against Poles in Lithuania! We Poles will talk to the Lithuanians about the Wilno region if there is no EU and no NATO. Wilno is certainly not forgotten by Poles. This is also clearly shown in this old Polish song "Przybyli ułani" sung by Polish soldiers. The text says: "And after all, we're in hurry to see OUR old Wilno! To Wilno they way is ready!" As a Lithuanian i can agree this is accurate except the regional administration (it was a bit earlier) and the president election were slightly off, but overall very accurate

Go pls modern history (every month) of Transcaucassia (1914-2022) Also do not forget to indicate that the British and others also visited and so on, there were also disputed areas that were controlled by the locals (National Councils) Many mappers think that the borders there were the same, but during 1918 and 1920 they changed almost constantly. It would be very cool to do everything in detail. Good luck 👍

After Lithuania declared independence and it was clear the USSR wasn't getting it back, Kremlin tried to make a kind of Transnistria in Lithuana. It tried to find as many Lithuanian supporters as it could, to push Russians in the country towards supporting it and then tried to get Poles of Lithuania to join during a meeting in Eišiškės, to fight against Lithuanians and create this puppet state of the Kremlin. But the Polish people of Lithuania refused to side with Moscow and the attempted creation of the puppet state was too weak. What little forces they had quite quickly surrendered to Lithuania's forces and the plot was crushed.

It makes no sense to give Central Lithuania, because it had nothing to do with Lithuania about which the film is about, but with Poland it had in common, where in 1922 the majority voted to join Poland due to the fact that the majority were Poles in Vilnius and Vilnius region. It is a difficult history between our countries, but I like Lithuania very much and, of course, good luck for many years to come. These weren't ethnically Lithuanian territories. The population of these territories didn't want to belong to Lithuania. It's not Suvalkai if you write English, but Suwałki or Suwalki. 🥱 And not Gardinas, but Grodno (or possibly Hrodna). To this day, the vicinity of Vilnius is mostly inhabited by non-Lithuanian but Polish people. In 1919, the Foch Line was established, which left Vilnius, Grodno, Suwałki and Lida on the Polish side, as an ethnic demarcation was made. Moreover, Suwałki was recognized by Lithuania as part of Poland during the Suwałki Treaty in 1920. By the way, according to the German census of 1916 (during the German occupation), Lithuanians were the sixth largest population group in Vilnius (after dominant Poles, then Jews, Russians, Belarusians and Germans). So in fact, it was a "very Lithuanian city", not really at all. 😂 In 1922, elections to the Vilnius Seym were held, where the vast majority voted for joining Poland.

Nothing is forgotten. This is also clearly shown in this old Polish song "Przybyli ułani" sung by Polish soldiers. The text says: "And after all, we're in hurry to see OUR old Wilno! To Wilno they way is ready!" Absurd to love someone who discriminates against Poles! Nothing is forgotten. It is not forgotten that Wilno was mostly inhabited by Poles and that the Lithuanians, together with the Soviets, expelled the Poles. Poles were also murdered during the expulsion. Only few Poles who are now the Polish minority in Lithuania have not been expelled. These Poles are today discriminated against by the Lithuanians. As far as I know its the territory that the pro-soviet polish minority south of Vilnius controlled during the process of independence since they opposed Lithuanian independence. When independence for Lithuania became inevitable it was reorganised into a self-proclaimed automatous region of Lithuania but the Central Lithuanian government refused to recognise it and it soon after disbanded.
