Yes! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for updated build orders. Finally I can do something with Greek that doesn't force me to athena rush or mass hippokon!

I tried this out today in a ranked game against an isis. It’s really good, and easy to execute.

Surely vs a greek player at least one TC would be denied, most send forwards a hero and a myth unit immediately at 4:30, you cant bolt both, then they have the archer hero and first 2 military units close behind, you could go hermes but that means you are committing to using ceasefire in the early game.

If you are Zeus, Hades and Poseidon won't send their heroes - usually. Poseidon might go 1TC Hipps, but they both usually go fast 2TC, early wall, and keep heroes home to defend centaur abuse. This is dangerous vs Zeus though - he'll likely throw heroes + mass centaur at you. You'll have to cease early and then recover from his raids and UW/cease 4:2-TC post-mythic max-out later on.

When you advance, if you have pigs, you can send them to the new TCs and queue to gold at home, if you want to start producing Hippikon before farming. Keep 3 on wood and throw down stables when you hit 4 and 8 on gold.

I’m about to watch this now. I have noticed that I always lose against Loki now. I’m getting attacked by Hersirs while I’m still in Archaic and by the time I have an army they have 2 bigger armies and 2 TCs. The game is over before I hit classical which I don’t experience against any other god. I always use either Zeus or Poseidon and I have always done what is done at the beginning here. But usually if I don’t see hung right away I put my three starters on a tree by TC and move the scout and then put two vils on food and the next two on gold, then 3 or 4 total on wood and the rest on food until it’s enough to advance with 2-4 on gold and 4-6 on wood.

I need you to do some explaining to me. Just looking at the timings, this isn't any better than a normal 4:30 2nd tc into a 3rd tc. A 4:30 2nd tc leads you to have 3 tcs up in the same amount of time (3rd tc starts by 5:30 which is when you age up in this vid). I personally think having 4 more villagers from a minute earlier 2nd tc is more valuable than an early husbandry and pickaxe. Not to mention the 4:30 build is safer and leaves you with much more options.

I'm not sure on the maths. If you're saying 430 TC into 530 TC is possible with consistent villager production then sure go for it but in my experience you can't afford everything you want. I know my experience with Eggy is that if you go 2 TC with 4 min advance, a 515 3 TC build will out boom hard. See my game vs Zodiac recently. Set vs Isis on watering hole. I just took that theory and applied it to Greek. So the real purpose behind this strategy is meta gaming. I would only do this vs Eggy (specifically Ra) or Greek (as Zeus vs Hades/Poseidon) for a considerable advantage in hitting heroic/mythic timings. You get my thought process from the Eggy build which is ridiculously strong imo so if it's wrong it's wrong. Up to you to decide. This build feels good imo

@@BoItTV The main advantage of this 3tc greek build is the simplicity and straightforwardness. I imagine it works great for lower level players who like to boom, but the risks of the build are too much for me as you will pretty much be forced to use cease unless your opponent is completely oblivious to your one minute late up time. As for the eggy 3tc build, I had quickly tested doing a 4 min 2tc into 3 tc, but it felt awkward compared to doing the same with greek. Something about needing so much gold and moving the pharoah around made it feel inefficient. In this case I can see 5:15 3tc being appealing.

What about this build vs “hyper modern Greek”? Is that one outdated or just different in its goal?
