The Miserable and Magical World of Being a Female Fan | Isabel Leight | TEDxAvenuesWorldSchool

Can you name 5 players on your favorite team? When was the last time we made the playoffs? These are some of the most simple questions for a fan to receive, but somehow are ubiquitous phrases amongst female sports fans. Why is it that women are subjected to belittlement or made to feel inadequate for expressing passion for something they love? This Ted Talk delves into the personal experience of being a female fan and dealing with discrimination in both male and female-dominated fandoms.
