So the minion's language is considered an "All laguage" aka an language that is a mi of a few different one. You can hear them speak parts in Spanish, parts in French (Makes sense since Napoleon lol), some in English and I believe there is even a bit of German if I remember correctly. I only saw just how true this was yesterday when I watched a reactor watching Minions and he could understand the French parts. I was like OMG it really is an all language, lol. I just love seeing these kind of fun details especially in animated movies.

38:52 Scarlett's dress came with protection cover thing, if you look closely you can see it covering her and Herb just before the rocket explodes in Kevin. The writers confirmed that the gesture of the tiny crown was touching enough for Scarlett and Herb to forgive the minions, and they broke out of jail a year later and went off to enjoy retirement on a beach somewhere.

@@CHOGBG Secrets life of Pets was not lazy. It was like Toy story but with cute animals. I like this movie :) It's not amazing or super creative but it's simple and entertaining.

Yeah, Herb Overkill is a genius when it comes to technology but he lacks any sense of subtlety which is why he couldn't make it to the big rings of full-out villainy like Scarlett can. In any case, he genuinely loves and supports his wife and is happy to stand back into the supporting role and let her be in the spotlight of their villainous empire.

Whoah, you're right! I just looked and ALL 4 mannequins are Lucy, just in different outfits.

I've written before that Minions have the potential for some quality physical humor. To some extent, I like this film, but all the same, as for me, Minions as comedy characters are unable to take out a full-length film. Although the idea that supervillains are in demand among people at the level of superheroes, I like it.

Truly not upset, but Tim, I literally wrote that the minion dialect was every real-life language meshed together back in your reaction to the first movie... 🤦😂

With the amount of brutal deaths, edgy humor, and some violence being committed, this movie starring the comic reliefs is ironically the darkest Despicable Me movie.

I still wonder how gru is still alive with the minions around... all those years and he seems healthy

Now I'm wondering if he either stole the Freeze Ray from Dr. Nefario, and when Nefario hunted Gru down for it Gru was able to impress him and Nefario started working for Gru... Or if Gru and his mom genuinely bought the Freeze Ray and Gru started an apprenticeship under Nefario to become the greatest supervillain like Gru's absent father was. Either one would be cool, but they're just guesses. (I have NOT seen Rise of Gru yet, but I plan on seeing it soon!)

the Minion language is pretty much a mixture of romance languages thats why you can tell at times what they are saying :D

Before this film, I don't recall seeing one where Sandra Bullock played the villain. It seems like she can placed in any setting and adapt really well to it.

The minions are always hilarious.

I can confirm as a British person the Queen was very, very accurately depicted.

Pretty ironic that minions 2 is coming out this year too lol

Since the minions are already speaking minionese before any language were created means it is not a mix of many languages but instead the root of all language

They have a short film about Binky the baby from the Nelson family setting off to retrieve his pacifier (or as we in Australia call would say 'dummy') when it was left behind during "another fun and successful robbery!" ("YAY!") Also did you see the end credit scene - Bob, Kevin and Stuart are all singing and are eventually joined in by the majority of the cast in singing 'Revolution' by The Beatles (in the Minion language of course - I'd forgotten that song and how good it was).

It was fun watching this with my aunts, they knew most of the songs in the soundtrack

Everyone is asking where were the minions during both world wars but nobody is asking what would happen if two equally evil villains rose to power at the same time? Like, Would the most diabolical get the minions or will the minions split into factions against each other?

Here’s some things that I noticed that were brought in Despicable Me the first movie because of this minion movie. In the minion movie Kevin was knighted, the queen had her crown stolen by Gru and a few other items from this movie. Now go back and review Despicable Me one how many references can you spot because of the minion movie!!! I’ll just give you a hint during the time the bank stopped funding group to build a rocket, The scene where the minions give grew some of their money to help build the rocket, you can see some of the items from this movie. It’s amazing how some of the references of the minion movie are in the first Despicable Me movie!!!!!

If you look again at Villian Con at the Freeze Ray booth you see someone very Despicable.

This is how the Minions find a new boss thanks to their leader Kevin he had the plan to find one. And now they found Gru.

So many hate Minions and find them annoying. It's like, that's the point lol. I'm 40 and have Minion merch! I think the what really annoyed people more so was the merchandising was bonkers. Every product found a way to have Minions connected to it. Even Amazon would send you packages in Minion boxes. Though admittedly as much as I love Minions, they are a bit better as a side piece to a movie than a whole movie about them. Not that I hated this movie of course, I loved it.
