    For those making comments about M. William Phelps and John Kelly. M. William Phelps is a well known author and his coverage of true crime cases is some of the best imho. He investigates these cases as if he is writing a book on the stories. John Kelly is an internationally known psychologist and criminal profiler. I have always loved this show and was sad we it ended. They made a great team covering these cases.

    1:22:45 we now know that Keys had obtained 2 backcountry permits for Olympic National Park. The first in Aug 2005, and the 2nd permit on June17 2006 (7 days before Gilbert Gillman disappeared) from the VERY SAME park area. If that isn't confirmation enough I don't know what is.

  • @jilcooper9619

    @jilcooper9619

    The day Gilbert disappeared, Keyes was stuck on a lake with a defective boat. He spent all afternoon getting his passengers to shore. However, it’d be an extremely tight timeline to get to Gilbert’s location but Keyes liked to do that. Like with Samantha just before the taxi arrived to pick them up for the cruise. Listen to TCBS, the FBI calls the researchers “the foremost experts on Keyes.” They’ve tightened his timeline which can be viewed on the website and Facebook page and I believe, pretty much proved his involvement in many unsolved disappearances. For example, James Lamar Tidwell is likely his last victim, not Sam. The most recent episode of season 6 blew me away. Definitely worth a listen

    The FBI sends law enforcement to him. So funny to read ur comment cuz on the Facebook page he gets complimented for both quite regularly. I find the Facebook page to be a politically correct fascist site. Very over controlled! Get through the extremely informative seasons and your mind will be blown by all the previous information comes together in the recent episode, 604. Years of fabulous research coming together due to the meticulous work of the brilliant Kim K. who just joined the team. Think you’ll be happy you started to listen. The seasons get better and better. Very few flaws; the worst being Keyes’s access to a private plane which I didn’t believe when I heard it.

    Keyes was not the most prolific serial killer, but he was the most dangerous one. Given his planning and his built, once he set eyes on you, you wouldn't stand a chance. They don’t have to find a doppelgänger actor to play the killers in these true-crime programs, but at least they should have a few similarities. The actor here could only look LESS like Keyes if he had a different skin color, for krissakes. I mean, he’s blond-ish with light eyes! Also, not tall & lean, either. Now that I’m thinking about it, Keyes’ looks have always reminded me of a pretty famous actor - just couldn’t put my finger on who. Wa-la! Got it; JIM CAVIEZEL!

    I love the way the author, M. William Phelps, who narrates this series, “Dark Minds”, shares these troubling and awful events , even though the stories are horrific. ( shuttering as I’m texting) Storytelling is an art . It takes a special talent ( and courage) to navigate and then to narrate about evil people and evil doings , while keeping your cool. And given that, it does help a little when listening and understanding stories like these, a little less confusing, especially if told by a New York Times best selling author , like M. William Phelps.
