Same here. Every time I hang out with my best friend, I give her a hug and say goodbye, but a kiss hasn't been attempted yet, so this song is basically me and her. We have an unbelievable connection, and basically everything in common, even the most simplest things. There are clearly feelings involved from both sides, but I haven't made the move yet, in fear of losing her. The good thing is we are building a closer bond everytime we hang, and the time to kiss her will come very soon. Everyone was like go kiss her months ago, but it is better to wait, and build a god connection, which we have now. We've known each other for almost 3 years now, and we know a lot about each other now. Did you manage to get your love?

I have listened to this song so much. It's perfect. My partner isn't into synthwave or EDM as much as me, but he loves the saxophone and jazz. This song held so much we both love, it felt so good to share it with him and see how it affected him just as much as it did me.

*I found this song yesterday and I can't stop listening to it. Its like the coronavirus. But you know, less disease giving. I really love the part when it says "Shadows in the city, im a stanger to myself, on these streets im someone else. I LOVE IT* GOOD WORK

Just came from a long drive. With this song on repeat. The lights, the shadows, the silhouettes. 😍 Everything is different with this masterpiece.

I can't think of any song from any band that is as moving and nostalgic as this. Hands down this is the most beautiful intense song that brings me a lot of deep feelings.

I love how you guys actually have vocals with the synthwave, but the words are poetic as well!!!

As much as I love Lost Boy and Fire In The Sky, This has to be for me their best track, the description of what plagues us all at different times in our lives and leaves us lost in a mental wilderness is incredible. *A single tear and you leave me here and the shadow slips away* You truly are a talented song writer let alone poet. Thank you x

One of my favourite songs, while a lot of other The Midnight songs already are in my top 20 songs of all time. This song just hits something different within me. Such a nostalgic feeling. An incredible combination between calm, peace and nostalgia. Perfect for a night owl like me.

I always listen to this on walks during hot summer nights. Perfect ost.

I was born late ‘87 so I am hardly an 80’s kid, but the raw emotion and nostalgia created by every single track you guys have made is beyond words and the best music ever. Hope to see you guys in Atlanta soon. P.S. if you guys ever change/lose that guy on sax, I may cry.... just sayin

I'm old school, but i like this. 👍 Definitely a 80s vibe to it.

This song describes perfectly the moment that I hurt someone I love. And I still love with all my heart.

The Midnight have been getting better and better, emancipating by the '80's sound and yet maintaining that amazing aura. They deserve their success. I hope they will get more known in the European market, in which they would slay.

The best lyrics of any Midnight song. True, relatable poetry.

This song makes me feel like I’m biking down an empty city in the rain at night reminiscing about a time and place I never experienced, remembering a person I never knew but loved deeply, and other cliche comments.

I have a couple things I just want to say. How good is this? I can't believe how good it feels to listen to this music. whoever is behind making this music, I wouldn't want it to go mainstream because I wouldn't want corporate influence on this music. It is perfect. It isn't mainstream so it's not about money and reaching as many people as possible it's about the music. It's about passion. It's about all the things that we forget about ourselves. Please never change. I love this music so much. There's a few other artists I like, timecop1983 for example, or Wolf club, but the midnight is my favorite. Just so good. I discovered the genre a few months ago, and I have been utterly in love with it.

One of the sickest beats I've ever heard.

There's shadows in my room cause I have one candle lit. By the way this music and sounds incredible even though I'm used to new age music. I think my sister would have loved them too. She passed away in 2010. But she isn't a shadow. I have her beautiful picture hanging in my living room and I can only hope that I see her again. How can any human there is a God be denied the opportunity to see someone that mattered to them even if only for a moment

This album is a masterpiece.

Absolute magic. Bought the EP so fast, worth every cent. Never stop bringing us tracks, they are always a treat.

I started listening to this album more, and especially this song in particular, and found that the references to an actual psychological concept, the Jungian idea of the Shadow, were pretty substantially present, which blew me away. Absolutely amazing song, and I can really appreciate some true meaning when I come across it!

There are many songs that if you listen to them too much they get old. This song is definitely NOT one of them! One of my favorites.

Saw the Midnight on the 27th of November 2021at the Wiltern. The first concert since before the pandemic, and it did not disappoint. I have been listening to them for 3 years, but this was the first time I’ve seen them live. I just feel fortunate to have seen them in this lifetime and many more years to come.
