​@@saintsauce853 it kinda was, the Mexican air force joined the US air force in the liberation of the Philippines against the Japanese (Fighter Squadron 201 - The Aztec Eagles), there were also several thousands of Mexicans who crossed the border to join the US army after the Mexican government allowed the US to conscript mexican citizens in the war effort, there was also the Bracero program signed by both countries, somewhere between 300k and half a million workers moved from Mexico to the US to work the fields and industry that were left empty due to young American men being sent abroad. To be fair during the second world war even major usage of tactical nukes wouldn't have been half as bad as later during the cold war. Mostly pretty bad locally but no real world qide consequences.

@@aquila4460 I beg to differ. Sure they didn't have as greater impact as what was developed during the cold war. But you could literally wipe countries of the face of the earth. Populations would be disintegrated and overall the damage would have been ever more scarring if Hitler got his hands on some nukes. Just imagine him setting off one in Berlin. All those men, women and children getting vaporised in a baptism of nuclear fire and all those soldiers from both sides gone, in a matter of seconds. The global impact would have been breaking.

@@northernleigonare Absolutely good that they where only used twice. I am not saying a nuclear slugging end to WW2 would have been preferable in any way. I am just saying it would not have been closest we will ever get to Armageddon near complete wipe out of the human species, that a cold war nuclear war would have been. Also the nuclear weapons only aspect that was worse to conventional bombings was that one plane could do it. Conventional firebombings had similar or worse impacts in amount of area destroyed, people killed, people suffering from long term consequences(all the chemicals in firestorm will be very much not good for you even if you survive) and impact on production.

This reminds me of my single player Soviet game. I finished the Germans and Italians, then realized Fascist Mexico was a major. I thought, "all right, can't be that bad, it's just--" Mexico was occupying everything they lost in the *first* mexican American war. The turning point was the 3rd battle of the Alamo, where Soviet Tanks supported by the Illinois National Guard finally overwhelmed veteran Mexican 3rd Army troops and exiled SS fanatics.
