Miami has a huge Argentinian population, and Spanish is spoken everywhere. The main draw was the fact that his family would feel right at home. That time at PSG was hell for Messi, knowing that his family was living out of a hotel. All for a fan base that booed him, a team that held him back so he wouldn't steal the spotlight from Mbappé, and a club that was in chaos due to coaching changes.

PBD talk about organization/business side of things. Recruiting Messi is a big matter for increasing organization value, and to make that possible recruiting Busquets and Alba also an important part to make sure Messi signing with them. Let's imagine if they just signing Busquets and Alba without Messi, and Inter Miami still won the League Cup, but will it be like winning it with Messi? No. The stadium will not fill up, ticket price will not be as high, no Lebron, DJ Khaled and other celebrities coming which means no promotion for Inter MIami and MLS to the whole USA and to the World.

Saying Messi is a good player is an incredible understatement. Messi is not good, he's a freaking beast, one of the best players to ever set foot on a stadium. Even so one of the reasons Miami could afford him is that he's no longer at his prime. Yeah he won the world cup, but the reason why they said that was his last chance is because he probably won't be playing for Argentina on the next, because at 36 you're already old for player standards. But that's the thing about fenomenal players like Messi: his way downhill is leagues away from most players in the world, so even if you think his game is like 50% of what it used to be...dude, that's way, way better than 100% from most players. You should have seen him playing for Barcelona with Xavi and Iniesta. His skills are ridiculous.

Ronaldinho himself was a great player and Barcelona was always one of the great teams in Spain, but it was in 2008 after Guardiola became coach that the team became something else. Nobody influenced Messi to come to Miami at all. No miami celebrities or power people made him come there. He had options and he sifted thru his options and staying in france wasnt one of them, going to saudi wasnt what he wanted for his kids, he wanted a premium life in a place where he could give his kids the best life, he could be in the center of american opulence and yet out of the focus of the worst of footballs journalism and deceit. He has chosen to retire and this is the best place in the world to retire and he will probably have another great 3 or 4 years but he chose this, he wasnt sold on a dream. He's doing it for him and his family nothing else

To think it was just 1 penalty goal away for history to be written differently! I’m a die hard 🇩🇪 fan when we won in 2014 against 🇦🇷 and before that beating 🇧🇷 in their home soil 7-1 best year ever! But I can’t believe I’m saying this I was cheering for Argentina to win the WC only bc of Messi because the soccer gods would had done Huge injustice had the 🌎’s best football player not win a WC and when they won I celebrated like it was my favorite team just won the WC & even happier for Messi to finally after years of failing to lift the best trophy in the 🌎 did it finally in a game that was boring up to 70 min and then wow what a game we had! You are not a football fan if you don’t respect and ❤ what Messi has done as a player & millions of achievements he has earned 🎉 vamos, vamos, Messi!

For years I've been saying Messi(in Florida because there's alot of Spanish influence there and the weather's not too shabby) and Ronaldo (probably somewhere near Hollywood)could play in the MLS,my friends argued the teams couldn't afford them,I say give em equity in the team plus they will drive up the value so much for the commercial side of the clubs that'll last decades. If Kaka,Henry and the great Zlatan could sell out stadia in the MLS, then the greatest football rivalry would obliterate all previous records in the MLS. At least one of em listened.

A HUGE mistake bureaucratic corporations make is treating their employees as "head count." It doesn't mater if the worker is a moronic twit or a superstar, they don't differentiate. A friend of mine was a superstar who was laid off by a relatively large company in the oil and gas service industry. Afterwards, he started his own company, and within 5 years came back to buy the company that laid him off.
