You guys should hear about the story of Bilal, an African slave when he converted to Islam how he struggled and suffered in Arabia at the hands of the idol worshippers just because he said La ilaha illallah there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and how in the end Bilal was the one who was chosen for the call of prayer on the highest point in makkah in front of the entire ummah. It will make u cry. The story is so moving...

First day of Ramadan I googled tafseer of Quran and found Dr Israr (RA) tafseer but it is 10 hours long, so kept on looking and a brother shared this on whatsapp. Exactly what I wanted, a crisp summary. It's almost as if Allah accepted my dua and sent Shaikh Yaser to just serve my request. Subhanallah

I have never appreciated a scholar more than this guy “Dr Yasir Qadhi”. His work is always to perfection. I find him and his works to be the best of its kind. In fact there is no one like him. Often times he blows my mind away with the kind of knowledge he has and his methods of how he shares. I have no shame in saying I have learnt a tremendous amount of ilm and knowledge no one else could have delivered to me. I pray that Almighty Allah bless him here and in the hereafter Amin

I actually disagree, idk where you live but in Canada where I live there is many youth programs as well as lectures almost everyday that you can find just by walking in mosques, on the other hand when I went to where I came from in Asia I saw many misguided folk doing shirk saying it was for Allah's sake, there is many misinformation everywhere but I believe Asian countries have the most(aside from some of the Arabian countries)

Ramadan mubarak - polish muslimah living in Algeria 🇩🇿

I was never into memorizing the Quran beyond the small final chapters but a few months ago it just sort of happened I heard some recitation and found myself learning them and even using them in salah (which helped motivated me to pray again) and I was thinking to myself which Surah should I learn next. This video gave me the answer. I probably won't learn the whole Surah this month but I'm going to try. InshaAllah.

Best Ramadan ever. Why because Ramadan took my anxiety and fear off this virus, I made new friends on Social Media and everyday I’m reminded about the deen. There are soo many Ramadan online classes that make you interact and connect with people from all over the world. The mosques are closed, we can go out but Alhamdulillah we have Allah, Quran is playing in our homes we are never alone Some families have no religion, some people don’t even know Allah. The world is mourning in this time but our Muslim brothers and sisters are at peace and joy in celebration of Ramadan Subhanallah Use this lockdown to guide others to Islam. To read Quran and connect to Allah. Forgive others and yourself and don’t fear the future. Put your trust in Allah and all will be well. I love you for the sake of Allah.

Thank you sir! This video was very informative and I enjoyed beginning the teachings of the Quran. Notable points for me were when you spoke on other religions saying they were above all else and if you didn’t practice their ways, you wouldn’t reach Jannah. I’ve struggled to find my way in life and so I’ve tried to educate myself on religion but things like that have deterred me in the past. You said, “Whoever truly turns his face to Allah and he does good, that is the one who will enter the kingdom of Allah. Names mean nothing.” In addition, the part about the Quran being undeniable because it was boastful in truth from Allah was very powerful. Mashallah.

Last year I made niyyah of completing Quran in Ramadan. So i started reciting Quran with translation but unfortunately i couldn't finish it. (Alhumdulillah, it was beneficial but time consuming) This year I've same niyyah of completing Quran in this Holy month but this time i'm not reading the translation, instead i complete 1 para & then listen to these lecture. It's helping me to get basic or overall idea. I decided this when Sheikh announced this series before Ramadan. JazakAllah kheir Ustad Yasir !

I read the Holy Quran in Arabic when I was a child but never understood it. I always wanted to understand it and this English version has given me the opportunity. Just what I was looking for . Thank you Dr Yasir.

You may recite the following supplications for a spouse anytime: رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَاماً “Our Lord! Grant unto us spouses and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.” (Sura al-Furqan 25:74) رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ “My lord, I am in absolute need of the good You send me.” (Sura al-Qasas 28:24)

For those whom want to skip the beautiful recitation part of the Qur'an due to what ever reason, you may skip to 18:40 . No disrespect to the recitor as he beautiful recited.

Long for the day will be able to recite the Quran in Arabic currently using an English translated one but still written in Arabic...only Salah I do in Arabic cz the person who taught me Salah and wudhu was teaching me while i write using the English alphabets ....it only took me a week to memorise salah so am hopeful one day will be fluent too in reciting and reading Quran in Arabic insha'Allah.... God bless her for the little she taught me about Islam always pray for her.

Day 1: Baqarah Part 1 by Sh Dr Yasir Qadhi * Quran cover to cover series in 30 days, covering each day certain suras * Division in 30 para was done in Iraq, Tabba tabayan times, not divine * In this series Sheikh will not strictly follow juzz, rather will follow Surahs which are divine * Nothing is recited as much as Fatiha سبع المثاني as الله سبحنه وتعلى called it * Aameen after Fatiha is to ask الله سبحنه وتعلى that o Allah pls give me all this * Names of Surah are not divine. Some names given by صلى الله عليه و اله وسلم others sahabaah gave * Baqarah is early madni Sura * Some sections of Quran are more blessed than others. Certain sections are more powerful * صلى الله عليه و اله وسلم called baqarah and aleimran best. Among two he said baqarah preference over aleimran. * Baqrah to get relief from sadness. It removes hasrah حسره * Gibreel and meekail mentioned by name in baqarah * Many prophets mentioned * All our beliefs are mentioned. 5 pillars mentioned. * Prohibitions of alcohol, gambling, -> it shapes morality * Faith -> morality -> practice, laws -> Islamic finance => all in baqarah * Biggest sin in our religion interest, war against الله سبحنه وتعلى * Previous prophets -> start with Adam AS, mystery of language, origin of speech, we given unique speech * Other creations like iblees * We all sinners, best sinners who repent. In contrast who sins and become arrogant like iblees * Story o& Ibrahim, building of kabaah, first house ever to worship الله سبحنه وتعلى. After 5gat duaa o& Ibrahim humility * Yaqoob on death bed -> children u give most important message. Who you will worship? Children’s reply made yaqoob leave world happ8ly * Dagwood story, Goliath killed by Dawood’s slingshot. No resources can help. * Suleiman story -> jinns his command. He was slandered in his life and after his death too. * Stories of musa and children of Israel come again and again. What we need to learn from those. Don’t make mistakes of children of Israel. Don’t be arrogant like them * Relationship of Islam with other faiths are mentioned. Interfaith dialogue techniques الله سبحنه وتعلى teaches us insider info about other faith * Who goes to Jannah? Islam is not based on whims and desires. * One of main point of Surah is theology. My father once said : " when man creates another man the qiyama will come " . I think I was about 13 and I looked at him just to ascertain if he was being serious or was he joking, he was serious 😣. And I knew the entire islamic eschatology, I established then and there that I'm done taking any advice from this man in matters of my religion and Dunya.

Bismillah This is my 3rd year study of qur’an using these 30 lessons. I read the whole translation in English after the 1st listening then started over the 2nd time following my MUSHAF Arabia then listening again I followed Dr. YQ using Ma’Arful Qur’an and ibn Kathir. This morning ‘ve began exhaustive study of Baqara and Ahl Imran. I also had my son listen to the 30 days. He grew up in Oakland, California as Muslim under the leadership of Imam Waritheen Mohammed.

Smallest Sura or chapter has 3 verses only, Surah Al Kawther, Al Nasr, Al Asr. This verse (Quran 2:23) is also true because every chapter of the Quran contains an unparalleled transformative power. It transformed those people who lived with the messenger of Allah over his 23 revelation life years into leaders who changed the world in a short span of time in history. It’s a miracle by itself. And if you all are in doubt about what I have revealed to My servant, bring a single chapter like it, and call your witnesses besides God if you are truthful.” (Quran 2:23)
