Shaman at yale again and will be graduate from medical school Next year in may 2022?

My psych rotation wasn’t even a psych rotation sadly. Because of limited opportunities of COVID and where I was placed in a rural area, we were placed with some NP in a nursing home. Lots of dementia but that’s Neuro

I don't think he announced anywhere but people did some snooping and saw that Shaman co-published with Puneet in quite a few derm research projects, so people are assuming.

D for psych. My last day I got really nauseous and was up for a new "admission" or initial intake exam with the resident and attending. The patient took 1 hour talking about herself and her depressive symptoms which I nearly fell asleep for but only stayed awake because of waves of nausea. I've never thrown up before but that day I did in spectacular fashion. The patient finally concluded her story and asked everyone in the room with an intense stare "doctor, can you promise me I'll be ok?". She gets to me last and instead of giving the same answer as everyone else, I projectile vomit across the table for probably the first time since infancy. It was my last day on the inpatient unit and my last day of the rotation, ended just as poorly as it started. Only highlight was the first time I saw ECT administered, otherwise I hated it. Also I was positive the attending was a predator , very strange guy who wore the classic coat jacket with the patches, Freud-like beard and horn rim glasses with odd rings on all his fingers except thumbs.

I honestly I didn't know if they were being serious about Psychiatry because it just sounded too good 😭😭
