They need to have this program in more major cities around the world to help more people who are also suffering from stuttering.

Hi Charly - The McGuire Programme runs courses in a lot of major cities around the world, with new ones being added regularly. I suggest you bookmark mcguireprogramme.com and check out the upcoming courses.

Was proud to be part of this programme and video at the time, I was the Director. I've since parted ways with the Programme. Some great people on the programme but some not so great people too - like life really :) Stutter or no stutter you are still relevant, still worthy, still without excuse to be all you can be.

Robin is so lucky to not have been teased. That's the first time I've heard a stutterer say that. Great for her. 👍

Second woman doesn't seem that bad. and I'm on the Mcguire programme, it's great but that regional director is wrong because we're not going for fluency. That's putting too much pressure on yourself. We go for eloquence, though we can be fluent at times, if we want.

Fluency and eloquence have quite different meanings for people in the McGuire program. For people out of the program fluency is a far more meaningful word than eloquence if it's about overcoming a stutter. I'm sure the RD knows that the McGuire program aims for eloquence. Between the editing and fact that this is a news story intended for a wide audience the word fluency ended up in his 30 seconds of screen time.

I'm like Rihanna. I'm very covert. I'll change one word to a similar word. Also soft consonants are much easier for me to say than a hard consonant. My first name is soft my last hard, so if someone, say at a doctors office asks my last name, I'll say my full name.

So join the Mcguire Programme and build it back up again. It is entirely possible.
