Al Greens version is THE best though. It's his voice, THE voice that carries a great impact, when such a soul felt lyric is heard. BeeGees get top marks, as you would expect for penning the song, but AL GREEN has that little extra edge, carried w9ith a sob in the vocal

A wonderful version of a favorite song of mine. Maurice and Robin Gibb are smiling down from heaven I bet.

This is about as perfect as a song can be. Malo has the best voice I have ever heard!! I wish he'd do an album of ballads.

The Mavericks lead singer, Raul Malo, is 1 of my most favorite singers of all time. He can sing multiple styles of music, & can sing the music of many: Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley & more. He's really something to listen to. Amazing singer & entertainer. I'd love to hear him sing Freddy Fender's music. I'm sure he could ace it to.

I’ve always loved this Bee Gees song, beautifully done by Raul and The Mavericks.

My son Robert passed away this past August. A musician living in LA, we spoke about music and great vocalists. MALO was heard at home, always. Miss you my boy more than I can say.

I am a huge, life-long fan of the Bee Gees, but I have to admit, Raul did a fantastic job with this one. He made it his own, but he kept the beauty/integrity of the song that the Brothers Gibb intended.

Raul sings so beautifully it brings tears to my eyes.

Tha man can sing just about anything. What a magic voice he has. So unique, clear distintive.

I've listened to the Mavericks for a long long time my Mom and Dad loved the Mavericks so do I and I love Big Daddy singer what a handsome man

I think Al Green does the definitive version of this song, even better than The Bee Gees. But Bee Gees, The Mavericks and Johnny Mathis are all good.

What a beautiful version of this song. Heartbreaking dedication; it reminds me of Johnny Cash saying and singing about why he wore black. It's Friday, 15 July 2022, and I grieve that there are still many occurrences to keep Mr. Malo singing this song for the reasons he shared in his dedication. 💔

Raul has such a fantastic voice. Just amazingly emotive, clear, on pitch.

Radio is owned by corporations. They play crap. Lowest common denominator. The upside is we can see the Mavericks in small venues.

Absolutely the best ! Tear jerker but sang with such sincerity and with Rails heart.This man has such talent. He could sing to me anytime.

One of the best voices in music for the last 25 years. Saw them at Cooper River Park in Camden, NJ back in the 90s. Never get tired of hearing Raul Malo sing. He could sing the phonebook and make it sound good!

These guys are becoming one of my favorites. Never heard a song they have done that was not perfectly done but with their own twist.

I agree It is time to stop violence against others..... I was listening to this song while I was feeling a tad fragile questioning why I should be continue because I am suffering not from a broken heart just a fractured mind caused by chronic pain in various parts of my body, this performance put a smile in my heart. Gave me courage to stop feeling sorrow and think about how I can help others and the only way I can do that is to inspire others even if it is just one person.

That incredible and unique voice, a great band, giving a great cover to a complicated number. Thank you, Raul!
