Maverick is my go-to deck. It actually plays Magic and you can tune it to fight the dumb stuff in the format. It’s so much fun to play.

This was my first legacy deck, it is a great entry level deck when you are wanting to get into the format. Playing this deck for a little more then a year made me really good at knowing what to do and when in the format so when I shifted into blue and started playing brainstorm and force of will, there wasn't as much as a learning curve and made me understand the format much better. In a nut shell, this is probably my favorite deck! And when the meta is good for it again, I can guarantee you I will throw this deck back together!

There's a rule with Magic. The more powerful your deck is, the less consistent it tends to be. Maverick get's by by balancing power with consistency. It can be built to hate on any Meta, and is even able to splash additional colors to make up for any shortcomings it may have.

Love the song! I completely agree with Mark. I don't like the deck simply because it does nothing broken in a broken format. The deck is too fair. It doesn't counter opponent's turn 1 kills against you, it doesn't have any card draw, it doesn't have any reach etc. I'm also not sure why it does well in tourneys.

Hmm... Definitely preferred the original intro.

of all the combo decks its very easy to handle, just dig for the right cards, play them and protect them with counters if necessary. with some other combo decks like high tide you have to break your back assembling the combo. that isn't the case for dreamhalls/conflux. i played it on free internet platforms for some time and had a blast with it, but its not worth buying in real life - ~450 € is just crazy and legacy is not that popular in germany.

Thalia is pronounced Thuh--lie-uh. "Th" is pronounced like the "th" in theater. The "a" is pronounced like "uh". The "li" is pronounced like the word "lie". (Rhymes with die), and the final "a" is pronounced like "uh" similar to the final "a" in malaria (the mosquito borne illness, not the -1 counter preventer). The accent is on the "lie."

T1 is not legacy...

So Mark Larson just says the deck sucks, he doesn't know why he just thinks it sucks. It sucks because It is so inconsistent with its answers! Except that it is very consistent, which is why it's good. Please, stop talking.
