The Matrix Reloaded Score - Chateau

I really like this fight scene, out of all of the fight scenes in the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions this is probably my favorite. With the exception of a single shot (from 1:58 to 2:03) it is unpolluted by digital animation. Everything is real (and by real I mean: real actors, real props, on set effects and stages-not digitally animated figures or dub-in). It's an energetic blend of high-flying wire-fu and weapons-play that pits several combatants against one another with seamless flow. I think out of all three films, this fight best demonstrates how far Keanu Reeves had come from know-nothing to kung-fu fighter, and looking back, I'm really surprised he has not been more active in kung fu movies following the Matrix Trilogy.
This fight also has (by a longshot) the most diverse use of melee weapons in any Matrix action sequence. Just before I first saw the film in theaters, I had read an interview with Keanu Reeves (in a magazine, I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the mag) where he talked about the use of weapons, and he mentioned use of the kamas (0:49 to 0:52). He didn't say much though, and I had somehow expected to see them more in the fight than they were.
In terms of the fight's importance to the films overall, there are several interesting things to say about it. Here the audience is reintroduced to the fact that Neo is mortal, he can bleed and he can be killed, and yet immediately after we see him use telekinesis for the first time (to retrieve the sais) which feeds the impression that he is some type of emerging god-being. While all of his adversaries apparently use their eyes to direct their actions in the fight, here we are clearly shown that Neo has some type of awareness that extends around him completely. He is aware of and blocks/dodges various attacks from behind without having to "see" them coming with his eyes. Where the Burly Brawl showed that he is very strong, this fight shows that he is deftly agile, twirling weapons in his hands and fingers while striking out.
