You don't need so many partners to get a feel for what you want. I made a decision after five. Three of which were serious.

@Dr. Hannah Fry...I'm a computer programmer. At one time, I explored the though "Is there an algorithm that explains love?" After a few weeks of thought on this, I discovered not only the answer to this question but so much more. I found the algorithm that explains ALL kinds of relationships.

@@learlear1143 To make this discussion shorter, I will limit this to people only. This algorithm is an intelligent database program that continuously does the following things. 1) For each person we are exposed to, a new record is created. This record collects various statistics like how many positive egative interactions, how attractive they are, how trustworthy, how they fell about you, etc. There are a lot of these categories and stats. 2) These records are compared against all other similar records. This has the effect for ranking all the people we interact with. The more positive the ranking the better we feel about that person.

@@dennistucker1153 thanks a lot, that rings so true. i was also confused for long, thought about it and was inspired a conclusion that still feels like a revelation to me. that humans are born with a program, a manager that manages everything. i call it 'the manager'. and this manager has its own plans and agenda. its first priority is to elevate and maintain its sense of value and importance. using whatever tactics necessary. the society has a big effect on it. it plays by the rules in public. and it has beliefs and rules that it doesnt want to break. in order to maintain how valuable it sees itself. the rules and beliefs change from one manager to the other. depending on the environment, society, situation and whatever it sees most beneficial for serving its first priority-its sense of importance and value-. it uses the mind and emotions to get to where it wants and reach the outcome it seeks when relating to others or even to the mind and heart. so, basically it is just a selfserving program and we are slaves to it. it has the final say in everything, even if the mind tells it that's a wrong thing to do. it is the boss, controlling and managing us very well, scr**ing us up. and love happens to the degree that we surrender this program and become enemies to it, giving up its own priorities for the sake of someone else. and this must be mutual, otherwise it will be like stanging in front of a tiger thinking it will be nice to us if we be nice to it. it has to be two way inner work. any two people with the readiness to go against their own manager for the sake of love, will experience love to the degree they surrender and go against that manager.

You may need math to succeed in love but not on the whole. Actually, you just need to use your intelligence and not your heart to take your decisions. If you use your mind to see and analyze the signs, behaviors, and actions of your partner and over it take your decision about keeping this relationship or not, it's perfect. In your job you gotta use your intelligence to succeed, in your relationship you gotta do the same.
