    I worked for Music and Talent for MTV Latin America and worked on this show. I remember that I suggested we book them, nobody knew who they were but we went ahead and booked them. That performance at the Jackie Gleason Theatre now known as the Fillmore Miami Beach was one of the most amazing moments of my life. Everyone was blown away. What was so special is that Cedric lost his grandmother that day and had to take off immediately to El Paso after this performance. He was in a lot of pain. He brought the house down at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America.

    King Dingus i'd even say singing is harder (i am keyboarder, guitarist and bassist) since the voice can be totally different from day to day and householding your breathe is building tone is much more complex than on an instrument where you buy the right stuff and build technique that will always apply. The good thing is as a singer you usually don't need to be very expertised eith theory. Basic modal theory is sufficient.

  • @dabam

    @dabam

    eblb: Uhm, vocals is kind of an instrument, it creates melody to the song. And a good singer know how to sing with guitar melody, bass, and drum rhythm, to make it all "one". Cedric does that, in a band that plays very complex music. So yeah, the dude is very talented musician who understands the music and band. And on top of that, knows how to be a frontman.

    I love Cedric's antics in this one, but imagine being the guy in the crowd. Some crazy looking dude you've never heard of, probably on drugs, plays this intense psychedelic, latin rock music, jumps in the crowd, kicks your date in the face, screaming about Lash of 1000 eyebrows clipping in your face, steals your glasses and chucks them in the crowd. I wouldn't know how to respond either.
