In all seriousness, I'm glad that you see how good this game is. It does suck how many people forgot about it when this game has some of the best minigames, music, and board design for a handheld title.(IMO) Granted it does have some flaws like the graphics and some of the boss fights are cakewalks, (hammer bro and dry bones), but it is still a pretty awesome game that I'm glad you covered. Thank you for giving this game some of the attention it deserves.

The Ds was an enormous part of my childhood. It’s been awesome seeing you delve into the classics of the Ds system. New super Mario bros and marioparty Ds were so damn good! I’d love to see you do a video on the amazing Ds multiplayer experience that was Metroid Prime hunters!

I remember playing Mario Party DS with my family all the time. GBA and DS eras were back when effort was put in to the majority of those games for handheld consoles and seeing how great Mario Party DS was from your perspective proves it. That game was so much fun and I really miss it.

Shoot man, this game was my childhood, and I makes me so happy that someone is finally giving it the recognition it deserves. I would LOVE a mini game episode!

Mario Party DS has always been one of my favorite games!!! The story mode was a blessing when I was in the hospital and I have so many pleasant memories of the minigames. Everything from the minigames to the music still makes me so happy! I wish they would made another mario party like it.

I LOVE this game! It's Top 3 for me with Mario Party, and it's better than the most recent one (Super is certainly a solid return to form, but there are few boards and they're very small and the minigames are mixed and a bit uncreative and easy). Study Fall was my favorite minigame as a kid, I actually played it so much that I got the record down to 0.00m. And as someone who doesn't have that many friends, the story mode, easily the best in the series, was wonderful. And yeah I remember the bowser boss fight being super hard as a kid too and beat it with no sweat in a recent playthrough. Would love to see this game get some updated love on the Switch, though I know that's a pipe dream (ha, get it?). Thank you for talking about this, it really deserves so much more love.

First: yeah Super is a step in the right direction, but I think the boards are honestly really boring. They haven't quite "got it" in regards to how to design Mario Party boards, but here's hoping they make it better in the next one. Second: Wow 0.00 is kind of insane to reach. Third: glad you enjoyed the video. =D

Yeah, I did the 0.00 in Study Fall too! I wanted to see how low it could be pushed and... I certainly figured it out!

All the memories of playing this game religiously with my sister just came flooding back to me

I personally really enjoyed Island Tour. At least it's Party Mode had at least SOME resemblance to the previous Mario Parties! *Glares at Toad Scramble from Star Rush and Balloon Bash from Top 100* Plus that Bowser's Road remix in Bowser's Peculiar Peak is AWESOME! I do think DS is the best of the Portable Mario Parties though.

Island Tour wasn't bad per se, and many of the ideas they've done throughout the series are actually good, including the cart in MP9 and MP10. The problem is that they REPLACE the regular mode, and replacing something that's been proven to work for more than a decade and everyone loves with sonething that feels just like a limited version of the same thing is not how you make a game successful. Imagine MP9 with both regular boards and cart bords, or Island Tour with regular boards, cart boards and Clue-style boards. No one would've complained if they did that

I'm sorry DuoStuff, the one we forgot? It's my favourite lol. It's underrated and one of the best Mario/DS Games

I completely remember this game, I loved the Mini-Games, the story, and the boards! This has to be one of my favorite if not my favorite Mario Party game, the Mini-games were definetly the best in the series ( In my opinion ), too bad I didnt really have friends who had a DS so I never really got to experience Multiplayer... This game kept me going back to play on my DS, too bad I broke it... Well, atleast I have great memories from playing this game! Thank you for making this video! And thanks to YT for actually giving me a video in my recommendations that wasnt weird or out of the ordinary 😆

Yeah ever collected a lot of money only to lose it to a cheap round like chips and dips. My eldest brother would either get uber salty or rage quit. My favorite stage being d'ks stone statue when I always went to the bottom instead of the top because of the dreaded rope we called "the step of death" because it would bring you closer to the green barrel spaces.

dude, this game was my childhood. i LOVED just playing it. i grabbed a few of my friends and my brother, and we just gamed for hours on end.

When mario party is even mentioned, I immediately think of Mario party ds. I love that game so much. Edit: that day I commented this, my copy of Mario Party ds came in from ebay

Mario Party DS was my childhood and i recently re-bought it for nostalgia. The coat hanger game and Camera Shy were always my favorites.

When you put the other handheld Mario party’s, I was like “where’s Mario party ds?”

First I want to say THANK YOU! You've been consistently bringing nostalgia back to me with these videos. I never exactly owned a physical copy of this game so my eldest brother would always use download play and we'd all go to his favorite board bowsers pinball table and he'd try to buy "alliances" by giving us stuff in real life so we'd help him out by sharing with him but in Mario party fashion I'd usually team up with my second eldest brother and double cross my older brother and this would usually be in a cheap battle such and he'd usually rage quit. I just overall had so many fun memories playing games like Mario party or Mario kart ds. It's a true shame that you are the only one who's really even noticed it. I used to cheat my youngest brother in the game since he didn't know how to play too. Good times.

My first and favourite MP 😍 I used to play it along with my cousin, who came every summer and had an R4. I was so in love with the game that I asked it to my mum (I had never had an "AAA" game before)... A very pleasant piece of my childhood. I lost it some years later in a school trip, that was the motive I really loved school trips and I was really sorry. Like five of years ago, when I was 16 and I started buying stuff on the internet, I bought a copy of the cartridge from eBay because I couldn't stand having an empty box on the shelf, it was like a missing part of my hearth ❤️

It’s funny since this game introduced me to the actual series, it will always have a special place in my heart when it comes to playing old DS games

My sister and I had this game on the ds we loved it. My favorite minigame was a jail type minigame where you ran through a dark maze and tried to avoid being caught

i havent played many mario party games, but ds is prolly my 2nd favourite. i havent played it in ages, but i always remembered loving it, and seeing some of the stuff in this video like the boss battles and the gallery has reminded me of some stuff i remember spending ages on outside of just playing goomba wrangler and trying to get the most stars possible at once on the dk map have no idea if its a false memory but i always remember getting like 60 stars on dk stones statue in a game once, maybe im completely misremembering but its always been something i think of when i think of mario party ds

My favourite game is one where you slice a cucumber. I forgot the name but all I remember is having a blast seeing how fast I could cut it with the stylist.

My siblings and I really enjoy to play soap surfers together, we played it so many times on our last long trip. When I was a kid my personal favorite was dust buddies. Probably because I was really bad at it at first, played it a million times and became good enough to beat AI on expert mode. That was quite the accomplishment as a kid.

Fun fact: i was playing this game while my mom crashed her car

bruh I think the same happened to me. I was playing my DS when my mom drove off the road and almost tipped the car. nobody got hurt but there was a bunch of like dirt or dust or something in the car after.

I remember playing Mario Party DS and Mario Kart DS with my friend, I have the R4 Flashcard(Dad bought it for me and he downloaded and put games in it) and I was able to play this with him. We always play Mario Party DS, we always have fun and fight with it. He's still my friend and still playing with him to this day.

I DIDNT FORGET ABOUT IT. This has been my childhood game for years. I remember one time I was in washington DC visiting friends, I twisted my ankle badly and had to sit out, and we all played Mario Party to make me feel better. I vividly remember getting stuck on Kamek’s boss fight. DS was so much fun... I wonder if I could play it again. This and Mario Party 8 for the Wii were my pure childhood.
