I’m fully prepared to be whelmed at the deadline. The FO has always talked about competing in the future and treats any success until the magic 2026 year as a cool thing that happens. I think they’ll find a guy who fits some advanced stat that shows he’s good but has no flashy name and doesn’t take too many top prospects to get. I think the vision is to have the farm stacked well enough they can graduate guys to replace impending FAs instead of trading for them. I would like for a bat to be acquired, even a couple bats. But I don’t think it’ll happen.

Do any of you realize he's ranked 11th all time in homeruns for the Mariners? By season's end he'll be top 10 easily. Hell, it's not an impossibility that he could pass Alex Rodriguez at #5 depending on how long he stays with Seattle. You all have too short a term memory. He's not far removed from a 39 homerun season with Seattle.

Colton you are right on the money. The time is now. Robert Jr. would be a perfect fit. Contract wise he is very Mariner affordable, at 12.5 mill 2024, 15 mill 2025. (Cott's baseball contracts). The Sox are going to ask for several top prospects. He's worth it. Remember to get Castillo the Mariners traded their number 1,3,and 5 rated prospects. Marte, Arroyo, and Stoudt. I don't hear any Mariner fans complaining about giving up too much minor league talent on that deal. However not sure if the white sox would put Robert Jr on the market. The Sox have two pitchers in Double A that are tearing it up, including one who is a Randy Johnson like clone, Noah Schultz. Already having pitchers Crochet, Drew Thorpe, and Johnny Cannon (he's for real). The Sox might feel they are maybe two years from contending and want to keep Robert Jr. Be sure to stay away from Moncada, at 24 mill a year, the worst contract in baseball.

First and Third with no outs, did Scott bunt? Not on your life. You would think the leader in strike outs (Mariner's) would do a change up, nope. The Strike out kings struck out in the 8th to do what they do. Smarts isn't in play with these fools, such as JRod, there going to throw you a sweeper starting in the middle of the plate and it will break a foot outside. Did the pre-game tell JRod what they will throw him sure, did it make a difference? Replace JRod with Haniger or Cal or Moore. About Moore he is hitting 205 and Scott thinks he is having a breakout year. Dump Scott and make some trades. Or wait till they tank as if the front office isn't the creator of this nightmare happening in slow motion. We are the worst offense team and Jerry is a dear in the headlights. Wake up fire the worst manager in baseball. Look at Scott's history of pulling out pitchers, does he pull them before they blow up and did they show signs of blowing up before they did? Scott has tunnel vision and has a set amount of out he wants from pitchers. He will leave in a pitch to get those outs and what comes of it, not an out but more runs given up. Most managers that demand to win would pull that pitcher about to blow up because the win is more important over the out! You can't fire the players but you should fire the one person that should know pitchers better than anyone, a catcher. Scott you sucked as a player and as a Manager, have you heard of bunting. Most teams that strike out a lot bunt to get a runner in from third, just like yesterday in the 8th.
