I love this track. I’m from the blue ridge mountains in NC and lost my only brother to alcoholism in 2018. This song reminds me so much of him. Just before he passed away he ask me to hold his had until he took his last breath. Which I did.. Good bye Carolina. Hate to leave you. I’ll see you on the other side of the blue ridge sky. That was my precious brother saying his goodbye. I miss him daily.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him twice and talking with him after the first show for a good 15 minutes. They had played the night before on Kimmel in LA , driven all night to play their solo tour opener in Albuquerque . Marcus was personable , humble, and appreciative of all the compliments that I was heaping on him. He must have been exhausted but I would never have known by his demeanor. Taking compliments well can be harder than it sounds. Especially when I was honestly gushing to him that he’s already the heir apparent guitar god and that seeing his band is like seeing the young Allman Brothers. I stand by every word. I am so happy this man and this band do what they do with such dedication .Shout out to Tedeschi and Trucks and Warren Haynes for befriending the next generation of great musicians ! So much love.

This is my favorite Marcus King tune. His guitar solo sounds like it was lifted from a 70’s Marshall Tucker song and the song topic and lyrics make it sound even more so like a song from them. But it’s an original and I love it. He’s an original.

This song always reminds me of my father, when he had to leave Carolina that he loved so much for the last time..... It must have killed him....

yep, just doing my... lazy, out the studio, lay up- thang.....of finding some new music, just to see what's going on with the world and the music in it...Wow! The Marcus King Band,....pretty damn good stuff. Good guitarist, good songwriting ...and the sound of a tight, well seasoned, batch of musicians. I'm very interested to see what comes of these guys … ..but as it seems, the world... is their lobster...and the cards hold..."whatever they make it to be". I'm a fan... and best to these boys!

I am a lover of all music but primarily hip hop, reggae and salsa...Steel Pulse brought me here! Point is it takes a lot for me to listen to rock in general. But if my favorite band in the world reccomends someone, they rarely do, I gotta listen. HOOKED!! Bluesy southern type rock is my favorite and this band hits the spot! The depth of emotion this music creates. Some of these songs are better than the classics. Stay alive people!! I want to be 80 hearing thier 20th studio album!

just absolutely moving every time. You can see how much his soul is voiced through the guitar like it's an extension of him. I wish to get to that state. Marcus King has enough soul to heal the world. so moved and inspired, absolutely awe struck by another talented artist.
