Love learning about obscure/undeveloped chapters. Cant wait til your video about the badab war, as I'm starting a salamanders army and saw their weird original concept color scheme from rogue trader. god awful in an amusing way. i think they quietly changed them to green, then said their awful scheme was just for the badab wars.

Recently discovered the Dark Krakens and theyre my new favs of all time Theyre Salamanders who switched out the fire theme for water and darkness, like literal darkness in that they apparently run their ships without lights and use glowing paint from bioluminescent sea-monsters to paint directions and markings inside their ships and insignias on their armor Super cool

I love this series because I can learn about all these funky, lesser known chapters. Also because it means eventually you’ll talk about the Iron Hands, which it seems nobody ever wants to do. When you get to their successors, I recommend checking out the Brazen Claws. They’re pretty cool.

To be honest with how much they come up in most plots something tells me that most people don't even want to write about the iron hands even though they are so right for interesting stories and I haven't heard of someone fully explore the implications of then having their Primark killed at the drop site massacre and how much more traumatic that would be to them as a whole

Yeah, there will be the same problem he had here in this vid, in that there isn't a whole lot of chapters, those there are don't have a lot of lore. That said, there are some I can see Arthur getting his teeth into. The easy bet is the Red Talons as that seems to get some youtuber lore and they are part of the pentarchy of blood. Brazen Claws are a good one, and he could get some mileage from the Sons of Medusa. But the one I would really like to see Bones tackle, are the Steel Confessors since it's such a bonkers concept.

I actually have a army of marauders. Reason I started them is that they are steeped in intrigue and mystery. I do agree with you they aren’t fleshed out as much as they could but I do like that about them. Stealth, marksmenship and lighting fast attacks are noted to be their style of making war. They are also mentioned to act ‘aloof’ to other imperial forces.

So, anything and everything to do with the White Scars is interesting. And I don’t know about others, but I would really like to hear more and more about these sorts of chapters.

Fun internet fact, the FFG Death Watch writer responsible for the Storm wardens (Alan Bligh I think, but it might have been John French) gave an interview one time, when they brought up the Primarch for storm wardens his reply was basically "gun to my head if I had to choose - white scars successors." Maybe don't quote me on that, I looked And could not for the life of me find the interview again, but looking up old Alan bligh interviews is probably worth it in general.

Loved the video boss man. I love learning about the obscure chapters and weird tidbits of lore that i haven't read in the novels or found on KZread, it has been decades since i read any of the Codexs so I have forgotten some of the stuff I once read and most of it is out of date. Happy to be a supporter your are my fourth KZreadr that I support now. I enjoy getting a different point of view on the lore and on subjects that I don't get to learn about very often. I have two bookshelves dedicated to just 40k novels. My stack of shame of novels that I haven't yet read rivals, the gamers unpainted miniatures pile of shame. But there is a lot I don't read so that is why I support and watch channels such as yours. Between supporting channels such as yours, buying the novels I get to scratch my 40k itch and save money, and time in the long run. Keep up the great work big man, you bring a smile to this crusty old War Vet's face. On a side note in reference to your D N D Video my father in Law used to drop Acid with Gary, so when my wife started playing in high school, his only reference to the game was with drugs so he freaked out and thought that she was doing heavy drugs, and threatened to make her take a piss test LOL

But in terms of actual lore I am on Fulgrim (HH book 5, not the Primarch one... incidentally the same book you referenced for the Eldar video, and I'm not even up to the part with Eldar...) Sometime in the future I will have to go back through so many different lore videos once I've actually caught up with the books. I'm just happy to be here. I wish other Space Marine Chapters got more action and recognition in the lore. But usually it just sticks with the major chapters (Black Templars, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Ultramarines) even though logistically their numbers can't possibly cover the conflicts in galaxy they apparently seem to be involved in. For the case of the Ultramarines we should see a lot more action for their successor Chapters since I believe they have the most out of any of the 1st Founding Legions.

Old Painless may be a M*A*S*H reference, specifically the original movie. Captain Walter Koskiusko "Painless Pole" Waldowski, dentist, finds he is going impotent and so chooses suicide. The title theme of the following tv series is base off the eulogy song "Suicide is Painless". Rather than a deadly drug, they give him some tranquilizer and put a young nurse in the large coffin with him. What I am getting at is the interred Marine might have been an Apothecary that attempted a suicidal act of defiance, only to be saved from the brink by a Sister of the Hospitaller.

Excellent! I like your 2nd founding series better than even your 1st founding series. Mauraders are cool. Always headcannoned them as faster imperial fist with a sense of humor. Can't wait for the cursed founding series. Wish there was more info on my boys the Sons of Antaeus. The Xbox hueg marine chapter

    > they look like imperial fists without black trim around the shoulder pads You do know that the pauldron trim color is indicative of their company, right? Black trim is 5th company, same trim as the armor color is 10th company. There are marauders with black trim and imperial fists without it.
