    This playthrough perfectly mimics a lot of the game’s important themes. The progression from him believing he really is the center of the universe, thinking all the planets revolve around him at first, thinking that something is coming to kill him specifically before realizing it was just the supernova, etc. Then later realizing the opposite is true. The universe is and we are. It’s not just our solar system dying, but all of them, even if you were to escape. Excellent editing as always to highlight this arc.

    2:16:30 That's a first! I don't think I've ever seen anyone get hit by a falling island when they weren't already on the island. The best part about this playthrough was that Mapocolops went back and actually reexperienced all the things people typically miss when they take their time exploring places, but then run out of time, like the high energy experiment. He also went back to the sun station to explore the final room, which I've seen a few people fail to do. That's really nice. 2:26:40 This might be the best quote of the entire playthrough. He managed to condense the entire first hour of DLC experiences down into about 3 minutes. No wonder he noped out so quick. Unfortunately he noped right into one of the most horrifying angler fish traps I've ever seen. Simply hilarious. Definitely one of the best playthroughs. Not as legendary as Oliver's playthrough, but it says a lot that this is one of the only Outer Wilds playthroughs with enough content to warrant a 3 hour supercut. It's something special when someone plays Outer Wilds with a slow and cautious style, taking time to appreciate all the details and appreciate the game with an open mind. Usually people are too quick to form crazy theories that don't make any sense, or don't actually include all the information they've already discovered. But Mapocolops always took his time thinking about how to piece together the puzzle, stating what he knows, and what assumptions he has. This was definitely the best "standard" playthrough. Unlike Oliver, Mapocolops experienced locations in order of their difficulty and without any major insanity (first white hole station, then black hole forge, the big three mysteries were almost at the end, etc). Taking time to fully explore each location before moving on gives this playthrough a much more cohesive viewing experience than the average playthrough. He also does a good job at clearly explaining the atmosphere and tone shifts between the early optimism and the endgame depression. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to binge Mapocolops' Echos of the Eye playthrough. Given his initial reaction to the stranger, I expect it'll be good stuff.

    Yeah his LP is easily one of the best because he doesn't mind taking his time, reading everything, and being observant. I remember learning things about the game I hadn't noticed despite having scoured everything I could think to on my own playthrough.

    @@sashankbalaji6588 I liked Womble's playthrough, but he spends a lot of time recapping things for new viewers. It's a great tool to help keep new viewers engaged during longer streams, but it makes for a dramatically less exciting playthrough when you're watching along, and there's less content for a recap, since he's often repeating himself during interesting moments. He also spent a lot of time getting stuck on random AI theories, even after finding information that contradicted it. I'd rate Womble's playthrough at 7/10. Definitely above average, but not legendary.

  • @sashankbalaji6588

    @sashankbalaji6588

    5 ай бұрын

    @@alexlowe2054 I can see the dramatically diff experience of him recapping happening albeit it's a pretty subjective thing and it's not overdrawn or anything so atleast for me doesn't really actively ruin anything. On the other hand, his extent of immersion into the story and his genuine curiosity, his visceral fears of certain aspects of the game are incredibly fun to watch. If he doesn't understand a particular thing, he puts in the effort to get it, tried to connect dots, while succeeding and failing a lot during the process too. Makes the moments more pleasurable to experience. Again just my personal preference and I understand where ur coming from.

    A couple players went through it apparently, which relates to a french player/youtuber/streamer "TheGreatReview" who made a 2h video on the game and said something along the lines of "waiting for something to happen goes against gaming's laws where usually you should do something specific to expect an outcome, not just wait it out". In his playthrough he flew straight to the sun with his rocket, and then afterwards discovered there was a way in by just waiting for the sand to go out.

    2:09:30 But not really, that version of you stayed there with Solanum for who knows how long, it's just that we are seeing this from the perspective of the "final playthrough" essentially and the memories traveling back in time, because the statue recorded only up to that point, since the supernova triggers.

    Take a shot every time he mispronounces the name of planet by mixing the two words between the planet and another planet. Giant bramble lmao

    It’s because normally time stops (default setting). since the loop is ending it doesn’t and it catches them off guard while the stress of trying to read builds.

    44:28 Never seen brittle hollow chunk disappearing instead of falling. I wonder if it Is because of the collision of a chunk with the ship

    I think my favourite part of this play through was how he ended up thinking about the sun station. With his systematic it was like one of the last threads that he came across, and by that time he'd already seen so many signs that time was up that he was already ready to chew on the idea that the sun had come to end of it's timeline before even stepping aboard.

    I really like how he gradually began to realize the scale of the explosion that kept killing the PC.

    Thanks for supporting the community with those super supercuts. If it is not much, I hope you don't mind me requesting a supercut from Nyan Cave's streams of this game. It was pretty funny and quite unique.

    I'm so jealous he actually managed to land in the BHF. I only managed to do it once and proceeded to immediately jump, detaching from the gravity floor and falling into the black hole. I ended up getting there the "intended" way after getting some (much appreciated) tips from the discord.

    First time I've seen anyone faceplant their way up the sun tower! There have been a few that flew instead of walked, but taking that many needles and still making it is new.

    Funny seeing other people smash into everything at ludicrous speeds. I remember feeling like the repair feature was neat but underutilized by myself. Unless I flew into deeps space and tried some classic lithobreaking on purpose. Oh gosh my lithobraking video is 11 years old X_X
