Hearing Mark Gatha the voice of Domon Kasshu say Hadoken and Shoryuken is awesome.

Speaking of Magma Dragoon, we did get him as a playable character in DiVE, being the first Maverick Boss to be playable. It's helps that he's the only maverick to have plot importance in X4 and DiVE, owing to his status as the best Maverick of the series. Mega Man 11 also gave us Torch Man, a Robot Master who has a similar fighting style to Magma Dragoon.

@@KirbyGamerEX27 Bit is not a Stage Select Boss, he's more on the likes of Vile and Sigma. This post was meant to say that Magma Dragoon is the first Stage Select Maverick to be playable, a feat no other stage select maverick has accomplished.

Incase no one mentioned, in Megaman Xtreme 2 in the castle stages, if you play as X to face Berkana, you can find a fake insta kill hazard wall that takes you to a doctor light capsule where he gives the hadoken and shoryuken to X. They activate by charge blasting and holding down or up respectively. The downside to this upgrade is they are not as powerful as their snes counterparts, but they’re still neat

The character Fistleo from Mega Man ZX has a move where he stands with his back to the camera with a red aura in the same manner as Akuma. Considering that Model HX shreds through Fistleo using Overdrive, I'm not surprised that you missed it.

Argoyle and Ugoyle's boss fight (ZX Advent) takes place in a futuristic Shinto temple similar to where you fight Shin Akuma/Serious Mr. Karate in SVC Chaos. Guardian Dogs Temple in SVC has two mythological dog statues (like most Shinto temples) who are the basis for Argoyle and Ugoyle. Sidenote: SVC was released at the arcades in 2005, and ZX Advent for DS in 2007.

i only knew of the rockman 9 chun li one and the X hadoken, i was completely oblivious to how many references were in here.

3:14 The titular Steel Prince being Ken, is more of a reference to Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight, an NES game where the main character is named Ken, and is heavily implied to be Ken Masters.

In Power Battle Bass can do Guile's flash kick. I can also add that Zero in X4 upper fire slash is just shoryuken

Dragoon Also does low and high fireballs, like Sagat.

Omega Zero's Ranbu (7 Hit Combo) also may have a similar connection with Akuma Raging Demon, he kind of slides over the stage and if he meets Zero he executes the combo.

Omega Zero in MM Zero 3 and Advent ZX has a Ranbu move where he dashes similarly to Gouki/Akuma and then starts an attack like a Raging Demon (minus the black screen).

Instantly subscribed! I was thinking about this exact subject just the other day and you delivered. Here’s to hoping for X9 with even more Street Fighter references.

It also looks like Chun Li's kikoken.

Both Ryu's attacks can be obtained in Megaman Xtreme 1 & 2 on the GBC. Since the stages are used from MMX 1-2 for MMXtreme the location for both the abilities are located in the second sigma stage, which is from the third sigma stage in MMX2 in the exact spot like how you get the Shoryuken. The only downside is that they don't do a one hit kill to the bosses and have to charge up like the X buster, but can be used anytime even you're damaged. Though it's news to me that they can be obtained in MMXtreme2 since I thought it was only just MMXtreme.

Although this one is a stretch, the final fight against Omega in Zero 3 could potentially be a partial reference to Akuma, for he uses more or less the same moveset as Zero except powered up similarly to how Akuma somewhat mirrors Ryu with powered up moves. They also both have a similar bloodthirsty quality to them, reveling in battle and basking in their own superiority over others. Although different from Akuma, Omega is also known for having an aura radiating from his body while he fights. It's also worth noting that X DiVE also has a Street Fighter inspired Dr. Light, and Fistleo in ZX also has a pose that references Akuma. Also, Zero's Ryuenjin (Dragon Flame Blade) from X4 is a move in which Zero's saber is lit on fire as he does an upward sweeping motion, reminiscent of the Shoryuken (Rising Dragon Fist). This move is iconic to Zero's arsenal, and returns multiple times later. Notably, in the Zero series while he has a flame chip equipped, and in ZX as one of the moves of Model Ox.

Honestly bro my fav reference has to be the MegaMan x8 one with Zero and Layer doing hurricane kick, shoryuken, and the flaming kick. Honorable mention to the hadoken voice line reference with Makoto and Nagito's VA.

First armour X in infinite marvel Vs capcom can do a hadouken and an uppercut attack, the latter which has no voice lines indicating that it's related to the shoryuken.

Also it seems you missed X's rising fire charged shot from Mega Man X4. When used, X does the Shoryuken albiet without shouting the name and with a lot less damage but the animation is the same

There's also Dr. Light playable in MegaMan X Dive and he wears Ryu's Gi and headband!

I had heard of Mega Man X DiVE, but didn't pick it up until I saw an ad video of Dr. Light in Ryu's gi, and tearing up mobs with his moves , and that sold me on it! Wasn't till later I found out it was that Dr. Light was a skin for Ryu in the same Street Fighter Event Banner mentioned here, but considering how the game did a 2nd Monster Hunter Event I 'm hoping to get him later on!

in megaman x the hadouken dosnt one shot all enemies and bosses, for example it dosnt one hit the water dragon think in launch octopus stage, or the two submarine bosses, or the mini boss in spark mandril stage. it does 32 damage, not one hit ko

You're half right because Omega Zero from Zero 3 and the original ZX has a rare attack called Ranbu which has the same animations as the Raging Demon

Here's another: Copy X's name suspiciously sounds similar to "Tweleve's" (Sic) X.C.O.P.Y. super art from SF III Third Strike.

@Primeshiem Third Strike was released around the time Capcom started releasing games in the arcades named after references from their other franchises, like Power Stone (Megaman 5) and Cannon Spike (Cammy). So seeing MegaMan Zero have an endboss named Copy X and me maining 12 (he's not low tier BTW) at the arcades at the time, I immediately got it then.

Would’ve been nice to get a mega man x Street fighter game this year for the anniversary in 16 bit. Or one like Megaman 11.

@@mohdadeeb1829 honestly, for his boss fight, I'd still say a 10/10 able to keep you on your toes, fast paced, has a variety of moves. Honestly, Magma Dragoon and Slash Beast are two of my favorite boss fights in X4. Although I will say tho, I actually never used his weakness on him, maybe I will to see how it affects the fight. Also I definitely know what you mean with his sprite work, idk, compared to X and Zero, bosses kinda just, don't flow like them.

Flame Stag has a Shoryuken attack. When his health is low, it becomes a Gou-Shoryu.
