Nice pick! I think that Optimus being a dockworker before the war shows how he was just an ordinary guy.

In my attempt to combine all the various origins... Orion Pax was a data archivist of the optronix division, which specialized in the procurement records of military ports.

From dockworker, to Librarian, to God. Man, they don't call them Transformers for nothing.

I hope they make an Optimus Prime solo movie about how he escaped Cybertron in the Bumblebee movie as well as exploring his origins of him meeting Megatron which led to the start of the great war.

I like the idea of Orion being rebuilt into optimus I think it would be cool if the voice actor for prime in transformers animated voice orion pax while Peter Cullen does optimus

I think it would be interesting if Orion Pax and Optimus Prime are played by the same voice actor but had somewhat different voices. I think the voices should be similar sounding (they're the same guy, after all), but Orion could sound younger and more naive while Optimus could sound more experienced and wiser.

I was born in 1965 and grew up in the '70s so in the mid '80s I enjoyed the first generation of the Transformers. I particularly loved the Orion Pax origin story and would ignore any other "Origins" put forward in subsequent series. So I guess you can call me a "Paxer". 😉

The g1 version is my favorite. It fits his character best. I like that, before the '86 movie, "Prime" was just his name, instead of a title, and there was no matrix.

I have really weird thoughts on "Prime" as a title/rank myself, but in general I find it kinda stifling. I sorta really like what Animated did with it, where it's just the rank of a starship captain. Because, like, at the end of the day, there are a lot of Primes in Transformers, and even though I don't love the whole Matrix concept, I wouldn't wanna just completely erase them from existence, ya know? Animated's way is a neat way of having them co-exist, and honestly I'd love it if another series revisited it. I can't see it happening, but yeah.

Really appreciate this video. I was shocked how much negativity was out there. I think this was better than the last series other than maybe the first season. But i liked both genuinely overall. I just naturally lost a little steam as the first series progressed.

Transformers Prime origin story is by far the best

In the very 1st marvel UK comic (the man of iron) the tranaformers were drawn EXACTLY like the toys

Yeah, they basically just draw the toys exactly. "Man of Iron" is a classic story; maybe I should make a video about it some day...

Um... in the covenant of primus, which is part of the aligned continuity, he IS the 13th prime, he is reborn into orion pax after going inside the well of allspark .

Orion is the re-creation of the 13th but he doesn’t get his old memories back

If it don't contain to the G1 transformers I don't pay attention. None of that other stuff
