It is beautifully made, but the iron installed inside the wood will eat the wood because of the rotation and friction. You could have put something to prevent it from rubbing against the wood.

The only problem I can see with the second one is, if the sled is slightly off on one side then the piece of wood being sanded is going to be uneven

What will stop the outer race of the bearing spinning within the wooden housing? Otherwise the path of least resistance will be taken and the whole bearing will spin thereby wearing the housing and making it oversize, the bearing will then not be operating as designed so that the inner race is spinning within its outer race. Design ideas are good but practically will not operate accurately for long. Buena suerte, de Inglaterra. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

one reason the second sander worked so much better than the first was the through spindle. you used two spindles on the first sander, which made it very wobbly and imprecise. a better choice would have been to use a single length of threaded rod like you did on the second sander, which is decent. and i like your dust extraction method using kerfs to make a curved hood

I'm so sorry sir but the first "design" works only if used for leveling a board of wood by blade to make it flat, which is called a 'Planer' but for sanding it's completely impractical... As impractical as having 9 fingers because you didn't plan in advance and took impractical and unnecessary risks... I am not being sarcastic... Not really... Losing a part of your body due to negligence it's not called an "accident"... It's simply carelessness and ignorance. Safety 1st. Also, the second "design" is no different than the 1st... Impractical for sanding. You probably observed a 'Planer' in action and thought it could be applied to the sanding process but it does not, AT ALL. And the last 'corner' sander is really limited and just stupid. You have the "knack" for Craftsmanship but you're wasting it in useless ideas that don't work. Put it to work in something more useful. And whomever "thinks" this is 'exciting', needs to make an appointment with a Psychiatrist. Just being honest.
