I like the way to get the answers from Mani sir...one friendly suggestion, look at his eyes which he is answering...you are looking down to your notes and preparing for the next question...That you can do when is near to finishing up the answer not in the middle..

This 3 part video must be a treasured watch for all upcoming filmmakers out there.. This was like finishing a 3 years filmaking course right from your couch. God bless these two guys.

Comparing Manis first interview video.. this third video has less comment, less views, less thumbs up.. But information are pretty much better. Thanks.

Thank you for conducting this interview in English. For years, I struggled to find English interviews with Tamil artistes. Audio is a mess though. The actual interview was too soft compared to the other segments. Hope this is fixed in subsequent ones.

7:53 - 8:34 Superb answer. Follow mani sir words. This is how he explained about music/song placement with Music Composer. It's wiser, If a director doesn't have musical knowledge, then he should leave to Music Director with full faith on him. that's why Mani Ratnam film songs are memorable.

Ravanan is not best , it can't be celebrated bcoz it has lot of mistakes & the characters didn't connect to the audience at all ; Kannathil muthamittal is his best & it should be celebrated more ..

Thalapathy - only Ilaiyaraja could have scored that film. Only Mani Ratnam could have made that film. Only these two giants could have come together to visualize "Sundari Kannal Oru Seidhi" the way it is.

@@yaaro4471 Yeah, Mani fan, whole nation celebrates him, few wait eagerly to get a opportunity to work with him, his movies are studied, film aspirants learn from his film. Current generation directors tell why they took film industry as career. A man with humanity, and true passion towards cinema, we take a pride in being his fan.
