I don't play me two but from this set leffen showed me a lot more me two get up options... like he baited squids laser spam on ledge get up and kept rehabbing ledge and snuck in an up b to f tilt to reset neutral. He did other stuff too but that was most notable

Are we all going to ignore the fact that the commentator said "mewtwo's leffen" at the end?

He wasn't trying to bm any particular people he said he was going to go only secondaries before the tourney started. Mango said and did the same I believe. They wanted to have fun this tourney.

As much as I may have liked the set and even a great deal of the commentary, these guys knew nothing about the character, which ends up giving the impression they may know competitive, but haven't played or seen anything Melee outside of the classic meta stuff in ages. How can someone be surprised at Mewtwo's recovery-from-ledge animation or not know a thing about the character's button map for special attacks, otherwise? That and not having watched a Leffen Mewtwo set ever, which, granted, is not a mandatory thing, but their reactions to somewhat frequent stuff on his part were kind of... idk.

GrOOvedelta93 I agree ... this community associates wins way too much with the meta (which is man made and isn't a true indication of match up wins). I think most the community forgot there are other aspects to winning in melee which is quite tragic

I also like how he was surprised when he used downthrow. Like, downthrow is an amazing throw that M2 uses A LOT, especially when upthrow would get messed up by platforms and they are too low of percent for bthrow to edgeguarding to be viable. European commentators, especialy Swedish ones, really need to learn some very basic M2 shit, cause Leffen isn't going to give the character up.

GrOOvedelta93 yea I agree. It also shows when they are talking about squid not doing uptilts like other falcos. I think he only used 1 uptilt total? That also bothers me because I feel like the community in general wants diversity and different ways to play, while at the same time will try and stuff everyone who plays a character slightly different into a cookie cutter stencil meta and question why they arent doing that. It kinda shows the circlejerky-ness of it all. When in reality seeing a falco beat leffen without using uptilt is cool to see.

KrazyKanzo almost like he doesn't know laser landing is always auto canceled and he can do any tilt or even shine right after lasering. He also might lack technical prowess so minimizes his options but tries to perfect what he knows. Like most people in the smash community tbh.

pretty sure tons of characters can punish mewtwo if he hits them with it. spacies can just drift in shine him for it. It's not a real setup, don't need to respect if if you know the counter play

pathetic tbh every falco is kinda lame ... I'm not a fan of the character. Only falcos I like is mangos and west and even sometimes they can be lame but they acknowledge it and try to play as intense as possible
