Character development and world building is as important as plot. Personally, I was very happy that they had some high-adventure but low-plot episodes

Agreed to an extent - the prison ship one was a little eh, but it paid off big with Mayfeld in the second season when he returned, plus we got a little New Republic world building

The Mandalorian is not a series I personally only watch for the entire plot, but for the movie like quality of each episode. It's a different kind of series, not the one you would binge watch to see how ends, but one you have to apprecciate for every little thing it has. I see many things this way, you can do yours
