"The Male Patriarchy Doesn't Exist Anymore!" Piers Morgan On Men's Struggles

Ойын-сауық

Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by political journalist Ava Santina, author and journalist Tony Parsons and TalkTV contributor Esther Krakue to discuss whether men should have a 'Minister for Men' after suggestions were made by Tory MP Nick Fletcher for one due to growing issues amongst men such as mental health.
Piers believes that many factors point to the diminishing of a male patriarchy in modern society and uses the success of the film 'Barbie', produced by and starring Margot Robbie, as an example of how the male patriarchy "doesn't exist anymore".

It’s amazing how clever women are at manipulation in persuading everyone that there’s a patriarchy and that they are oppressed (thus needing more protection and resources) when in fact society is largely centred around the interests of young, fertile women and their offspring. This is quite natural from an evolutionary perspective and also the case in other mammalian species.

This is another problem though, people don't want to call out issues to avoid more hassle. There has been inequality between how we handle relations between the sexes for a while now and while it doesn't impact all men it does impact some men just like women's issues don't necessarily impact all women. We constantly talk about women's issues while neglecting mens issues and then wonder why we start to see groups emerging such as incels and then in response misandrist feminists - so by not focusing on one side you cause another boatload of issues through bitterness which can lead to some very serious outcomes and erodes overall sex relations. So overall while I agree it would likely kick up a bit of a storm initially it's needed to encourage more men to productively talk about solutions for their issues without devolving to misogynistic groups, while at the same time telling the misandrist feminists against this that it's not all about them and what they want - other people matter just as much as they do. I've seen enough men who just hate women for being women and enough women who just hate men for being men in my lifetime and it's this group that need the wake up call the most that neither side will tolerate it anymore.

@@james970027 fundamentally a power system that affords some privilege based upon male gender exists. Academically that can be evidenced How people interact with themselves is another subject and debate. You can acknowledge privilege without it taking anything away from your struggles and challenges. The problem is, like your comment an others, any admittance of something is deeply personalised. People should be able to separate the different pets of a situation. Life is about systems, personally and professionally and it’s about how those systems interact and vie for power / equality. Fundamentally when systems of power exist, that ultimately prevent or hamper another group achieving equality, then we need to call it out. It’s as simple as that, that’s all anyone has to acknowledge. Doesn’t matter about men feeling left out and not belonging… that’s about society, education and parenting. Everyone matters and you can say that whilst still acknowledging inequality. Give it a try

@@thejfg7741, can you give an example of the male privilege? There's no need to admit every inequality and what's more important - there's no need to eliminate it. The only thing we should fight is UNFAIR inequality. And that's the problem - a lot of people don't understand what is fair and not, they think that if someone makes more money it's automatically unfair. The inequality between men and women is due to their fundamental differences. But today we actually opress men to equalise that. That is unfair.

Patriarchy is a buzzword used to complain about the lack of female accomplishments. The patriarchy comes from the fact that men were elected to represent constituents and courts. Patriarchy means a system where positions of power and privileges are mainly held by men. Looking in detail at history and weighing up the roles and positions of both men and women people will actually find out that such a system rarely existed. For example, Queen Victoria of Britain ruled for 77 years during the 19th century associated with the climax of Western colonialism. Or in the world wars women were exempted from the draft and military service. In industrialization times male children had to serve as child labourers because men were seen as providers. Feminists just selectively pick aspects of history in order to let it appear as if there has been a patriarchy once and forever.

So close to actually talking about Men not seeing there Kids and the blond lady Shoots the comment down and says don’t be so ridiculous 😢 As a man who’s had to fight to see his child and wanted to kill myself because i had no power or right to see my Boy and had no power or rights against my sons mum, The whole experience was crushing it felt like i was drowning!! I am A 17.5 stone male i’m fairly big and have a shaved head due to going bald at an early age and a lot of women look at me and talk to me like i’m dirt and i know why because i’m probably seen in there eyes as A toxic male!! I would love her to hear my story and Tell me i’m been ridiculous !!! What a Nasty man Hating women she comes across as and yes there are men who hate certain types of women and usually it’s women like you!!! a lot of women have become power mad and they don’t want equality they want Domination!! It’s sad that a modern world that’s been built by men has now created an environment that men are now not appreciated!! Luckily i’m Married to an amazing lady that Respects men!

But in all seriousness, that Rubiales kiss turned me off womens football for life, just as I was whole heartedly getting behind the lionesses at the world cup.. When women can't differentiate between a kiss of pure celebration of joy and rape, they lose the moral high ground and become nagging karens in the eyes of everyone! Seems the more we let women talk the more they bury themselves and push their rights backwards by decades so if the men really did want to opppress women, we would give them more platforms to speak from so they can dig their own graves quicker...

I can remember a sitcom called dear John where john is told by his wife that she is leaving him for his friend John ends up living in a bedsit ruled by a dominating Russian lady who sets down hard house rules and John as to still pay the mortgage on the house. It was very funny written by John O’Sullivan in the 1980s but full of irony. It’s still happening now I believe the law is bias towards women in a lot of situations. Remember the the single dads protecting in the 90s about access rights to see there children. Society has lost its balance and given time it will be for the detriment of society.

6:05 When she says "you don't have that power dynamic" with regards to women hating men - i'd argue that's BS and women hating men actually have massive amounts of power, particularly off the back of the "Metoo" and "Believe all women" movements. The power dynamic in this regard very much sits in favour of women. A false accusation against a man by a 'man hating' woman has the potential to destroy his career or his life (I have experienced this first hand). The same does not happen to women with anything like the same frequency.
