My only question is: Are Maldive soldiers & gov. leader/ generals reliable even if India force stayed longer on the island watching China bribing them ? If None of the above makes sense for the interest of India, then it is better to be well prepared naval strategic locations in surrounding waters of Maldives, India need to be well prepared for each step along the "routes" and step by step also to vice grip Maldives next even if China Navy comes in. Be prepared.
